The sound is quite good but they don't fit very comfortably in my ears. I bought them to go with my new Surface laptop. I ended up buying headphones later on. It may be me but the fit just wasn't great.

They are ok. Sound nice. Once the battery hit 0% they would never charge again. I have small ears and they are a little big.

The final straw for me with these was that they absolutely would not fit securely in my ears. I have rather small ears so I might be a special case, however, the sound is quite spotty and aesthetically, these look like gauges from afar, which is not pleasing (in my opinion). Finally, for how much they cost, you can get much much better!

My experience so far has been really good with these. On most days I keep them in around 6-8 hours talking to people or listening to music on spotify. I am usually not a fan of ear buds due to them falling out, but I have not had any issue with these falling out.

I wanted to like these so badly. The fit was really poor and loose. They never technically fell out of my ears but it felt like they were always about to. The sound was average at best and the price was way to high in comparison to the competition. What Samsung, Jabra, and Apple are offering at the same (or cheaper) price point, it is bad decision to go with these.

These are really good earbuds. They do feel a little loose in the ear, but they work great. Sync up to a Microsoft PC so easy with swift pair. Great product.

I compared Airpods Pro and Surface Earbuds listening to the same song. Earbuds sound metallic to me while Airpods Pro sounds wonderful. The fit is complicated. I tried different buds and actually the left one fell off. I was not so happy. The connection is easy. You also do not get NC for this kind of money. I also think Echo Buds is better. I will test and decide what to do with them.

These fit perfectly and stay comfortable for extended periods. Fit snug enough for jogging. Pairing with a Windows device is trivial, pretty normal bluetooth pairing for other devices. Controls are intuitive, actually quite clever. Only complaint I could have is that in order to use the controls, you have to hold onto the earbud while swiping or they come loose. You get used to it pretty quickly and it's not really an issue. The look is definitely unique, but so are airpods. Lastly, the sound is really good. I feel the sound is better than airpods, but other devices have slightly better bass response. All in all a really good product and I'm very happy with it.

(Reviewers in this invitation-only Tech Insiders Network program are provided products for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased reviews.) I guess you have to give Microsoft credit. The company never stops trying to make hardware that rivals products made by competitors, many of whom are mostly in the hardware business. Which Microsoft is not. Hence there have been some notable flops along the way. Anybody remember the Zune digital music player? Microsoft's Lumia cell phone? Probably not. Undaunted, Microsoft is at again, this time with its Surface branded wireless earbuds, which seems odd, since isn't Surface a tablet? Not a music device? But hey, Microsoft no longer makes any music devices. So these are Surface earbuds. And to be fair, they are designed to work with the Surface tablets and MS software (voice control, via Cortana) , although I am not sure how many people will use them that way. Most people use earbuds for music (and the occasional phone call) so that's the one area where manufacturers must excel to succeed. And fortunately for Microsoft, the Surface earbuds do very well in this regard. The sound quality is far better than some earbuds I have used, especially using some of the EQ settings that come with the Surface Audio app. The default FLAT settings produce with bright clean highs, and adequate, if not spectacular midranges. The low frequencies are also acceptable. if unremarkable. But once I switched to the POP EQ setting, I was amazed how much better these sounded. Midrange and low frequencies were much stronger, providing a much fuller overall sound. Everybody's preferences here are very subjective however, so try them all to find the one that sounds best to you. These are no match for over good over the ear earphones and have no noise cancelling (which they should at this price). So are not a good choice in noisy environments. Still, t there are good reasons to put the Surface earbuds on your shopping list. First and foremost is comfort. These ear buds use a unique flat oblong ear pieces that are supposed to be a lot more comfortable than the kind you have to jam inside your ear canal. Three different sizes are provided (small, medium and large) and the soft rubberized pieces can be swapped out fairly easily. Because of the design, these rest inside the ear but mostly outside of the ear canal. I have yet to find an earbud that I thought was comfortable so I was eager to try this one out. The result: They are much better than all the others I have tried. But even using the smallest earpiece I found they became uncomfortable after an hour or so because the fit is still pretty snug. That may be good for those who use them while exercising since they are unlikely to fall out. But not so much for long term comfort. Still, most other earbuds are far worse in the comfort department so this is a step in the right direction. Perhaps one could get used to them in time. Be aware that placement is critical to getting the best music quality so take some time to make sure you've positioned them correctly in the ear. The Surface Audio app recommended by Microsoft to use with the earbuds has a little video that explains how best to do this. Build quality seems quite good, if you can get past the odd circular plastic design that makes them look more like big white earrings than earbuds. One assumes the engineers decided they had to look totally different from the ones made by that other company that starts with an A. For what it is worth, the design makes them easy to grip and the big flat circular surface makes the touch controls easy and intuitive. Swipe up and down on the right earpiece to control for volume, back and forth on the left for skipping tracks. Tapping either one does different things, like stopping and restarting tracks.. A long press brings up the digital assistant (you get to to choose between Cortana, Google, Siri, Bixby or Alexa) I have found fussy or unworkable touch controls to be a big problem on other brands of earbuds so Microsoft gets kudos for getting this right, When not in use, the buds rest in small charger that resembles a pillbox. You get a USB A to USB C cable but no charger so you better have one of those if you want to keep these charged up (Pretty inexcusable at this price). Microsoft says they go up to 8 hours on a charge, which should be plenty for most folks. The buds are magnetically keyed to one side of the case or the other. So if you try to put them in the wrong way, they will be magnetically pushed out and the indicator light will glow red. Otherwise, it blinks white when charging and solid white when fully charged. Pairing is relatively simple and does NOT require an app, thankfully. Put your music device in pairing mode, the buds in the case and press the physical button on the bottom of the pillbox charger. I even tried this on an ancient iPod touch and it worked just fine. Ironically, this method actually worked better than than using Surface Audio app, which is what Microsoft recommends in the startup instructions. The app failed to find the buds and I had to pair them manually with the phone. Overall, this is a good choice for anyone in search of earbuds that are more comfortable than most that have come before it and provide pretty decent sound quality and functionality.

I bought this to replace a ticpods anc that I was using for over 2 years. For one, the fit was terrible. I tried all 3 sizes and they kept falling out of my ear. Second, while it paired really quickly with the Surface laptop, I couldnt get it to pair with my Pixel 6. Tried a bunch of times, even resetting it multiple times. In the end I think it broke as the pairing led kept blinking red no matter what I tried and it wouldnt get recognized on the pc or phone any more. Took it back to store and got a refund.
