This is a nice keyboard which connects to the Surface easily. It is large enough for touch typing. The right and left buttons are part of the touch pad and require some practice to use effectively. It is a good addition to the Surface; typing on it is far better than using the on-screen keyboard.

When I tried both keyboards out at Best Buy I was reluctant to purchase the touch keyboard because it didn't seem as responsive as I wanted. Definitely glad I purchased the type cover! It has the same feel as a PC keyboard without the bulkiness. The light up feature is nice too. Love it!

My grand daughter loves the keyboard as it was in the color purple. The back lit keys are awesome. Very easy to use and the keyboard will help to protect her tablet.

The MS Surface Keyboard performs a level that exceeds expectations. Easy to attach and remove, compact, slim, lightweight, folds closed to put the surface to sleep.

When I first bought my Surface RT I bought and used the touch cover for the better part of a year. While it was perfectly fine for light typing, I never got totally used to its feel or confident that every touch would translate into the intended keypress. As I have done more and more real work on the surface, I decided that I needed a type cover and with the release of he backlit type cover 2 I decided to take the plunge. Now I wish I had bought a type cover from the very beginning. Typing on it feels just like typing on a regular keyboard. I no longer have any hesitation in opening up the surface to work on a word document or excel spreadsheet. The only tradeoff versus the touch cover is a small increase in thickness.

I like that the keyboard also protects the screen. The keyboard is better than I expected. It takes a little getting used to, the keyboard is smaller than the average computer and most laptops, especially for big hands, but overall it is great.

The keyboard is great. It takes very little time to attach.

There are two options for keyboards and although this is the more expensive option, it is the best option. It is just like a real keyboard on laptops or on desktops. It connects magnetically so there are no clips to break. It also protects the screen when it is folded.

The Surface is essentially a mini laptop. By adding the type cover keyboard it is everything you need to get things done if you are a Windows user. Very responsive and lightweight, I recommend this to anybody considering getting a Surface.

Compared to the touch keyboard made for the original Surface RT, this keyboard types a lot smoother, has backlighting, and is overall a better product. As a college student I approve this keyboard and recommend it to any other student.

This keyboard is a great addition to the Surface Pro 2. I especially like the backlit keys, which light up as soon as your fingers start hovering. It is easy to attach and detach, too. There have been a few times when the keyboard trackpad is unresponsive, but all I have to do is unattach and reattach it to the tablet, and voila. The trackpad is made of the same material of the rest of the keyboard, which doesn't feel quite right. Not my favorite feature. And the right click button takes a few clicks before actually working. For the most part, since it's a touchscreen tablet, I don't use the trackpad enough for it to be a true nuisance.

bought the surface two as a xmas gift for my wife then recently bought the keyboard; its amazing how much she loves it as she is hard to please. Loves the back-lit feature as it allows her to use it bed long after I'm asleep.

Ultra thin and light keyboard, like the color. Very easy to use, magnet pulls right into place every time and it's backlit.

This is a great product of any keyboard or mouse it comes up both on the keyboard there's a mouse or a touchpad make sure easy bro think it's great for typing and with the Kickstand up it's very easy to type.

I bought the new Surface 2 for my fiancee because our IPad was limiting our ability to view certain websites for home school. The combination keyboard and cover is very nice. We did not like the cheaper version and preferred the keys on this model. It is attaches and detaches very easily. I tried it myself and found the keyboard a little small but it would just take some getting used to, but it it much better than trying to use to keyboard that pops up on the screen losing viewing area.

It is beautiful, acts as a cover and is a very good keypad for typing. If it weren't for the mouse pad it would be 5 stars. I'm glad the surface is a touch screen so there are places where I can avoid using the mouse. It is difficult to use and doesn't respond well to touch.

Love that I can detach when using the Surface Pro 2 as a tablet. Easy click on and off just like they show on the TV commercials. The color purple makes my computer easy to find when I place it anywhere. Plus, I just love the feel of the keyboard. This is not a must have, but I prefer the keyboard and the fact that I can type easily while the surface pro 2 is on my lap.

This is by far the overall best tablet keyboard I have ever used. Takes about 10 minutes, if not less, to start typing at a normal pace as on a standard size desktop keyboard. Perfect if you need to do long typing sessions on you Surface. The on screen keyboard is just fine for answering emails and Skype.

Love the Surface. Easy to use and convenient to take on trips. Not too big or heavy. It takes good photos and movies. Its just a fun thing to have at your fingertips.

This is a great product. I used this keyboard while attaining my Masters degree and it was perfect. Backlight is great. Closes to protect the screen of the surface. Best in the industry!
