It was nice that Microsoft did this for computers that didn't come with Win8 Pro installed. The additional price is minimal & worth it for the extra features.

I went online to download and most of it downloaded and then failed. And when I re-entered the number it said that it is not a good number so now it is worthless and it is a card and not a CD and it does not give you a phone number to call. This is a very poor way to do business. and a very poor upgrade. You should have options when this type fails.

It is disappointing to have to buy Windows 8.X Pro to get Windows Media Center. The features are nice with the pro package. Easy to install if you just follow the instructions provided. Software is load with Windows 8 basic. You just basically turn it on. Price is too high for what you get but I wanted Windows Media Center.

Needed to upgrade consumer OS of Win 8 to a version for a domain in a workplace.
Easier to install this update than reinstall a new release over the top.
Had to go to the website though because it wasn't just install and run, although it was supposed to be.
