In disclosure I BETA tested XBL when it was first launched on XBOX and have always been a fan of what MS has done here. The experience plain works always, the guard rails MS imposes on developers makes online experiences seamless and reduces learning curves between games. Their friend system improvements, achievement system improvements are all steps above the last experience and are doing a good job of listening o customer feedback and making improvements along the way. Simply put this is the best online experience a games can hope for and all others strive for as the benchmark. It is online gaming that often encourages my purchases between systems, my PS4 is kind of barren right now as there aren't and decent exclusives and online games wind up getting purchased for XBL in my house initially. Getting Killer Instinct content with this card was actually a pretty cool perk too!

xbox live has always run great and it still does. Its painless and fast to update your games compared to psn. Its worth every penny. If i had to compare xbox live and psn id say xbox live is facebook and psn is myspace. Night and day when comparing what is suppose to be similar features but executed completely different.

I always buy Xbox live membership and point cards because you can normally get an better price, not to mention the added security of not having to use your credit card on the Xbox. This is a must have Xbox Live card for anyone out there. I purchased this when Best Buy was having all Live membership cards on sale for $39.99. This particular membership card trumps all others for Xbox One users, because not only do you get the years worth of Xbox Live, you also get a free downloadable game, Killer Instinct. It's win win situation for anyone out there...so as long as a store near you still has them in stock, get on it!

awesome day one card to remember the beginning. buying the year is much easier than paying month to month.

this subscription came with the day one achievement and free killer instinct game. besides that nothing really different from any other live subscription. all the other features are cool though for the xbox one.

I bought this mainly for the Shadow Jago character and to unlock Killer Instinct for the achievements, The card is a metallic card, non magnetic, great to scratch lottery tickets with. Shadow Jago is basically a zombie version of Regular Jago. with the moves having a different aura to them. Besides that its 12 months of xbox live, I usually wait for a sell an buy 12 months of live for $40. I had read a review stating it came with $20 credit, it doesn't come included in the packaging, it must of been a bundle that was offered for a limited time. Its a ok value, the cool factor wears off pretty quick.

I buy xbox live for my brother every year. It saves him money throughout the year on games he loves to play. Definitely worth the money!

This product came as a metal card to show that it was of the first launch dates. The Xbox Live membership was at a discounted rate and it comes with a free code to download Killer Instinct for free (some playable characters may need to be bought separately). Those two things make this a great purchase. Plus the card is memorabilia (or a makeshift windshield scraper, or screwdriver, or crusher, or bookmark, or lever, or other type of scraper, or even a screwdriver. I'd say win/win on this purchase.

Got this xbox gold 1 yr subscription as part of a best buy sale for $45, it usually retails for $60. I got the xbox one day one version of the card thinking it would have something inscribed in it to commemorate the launch, but it did not. Just a metal card, but the code to update my subscription and to get jago character for killer instinct were on a separate piece of paper. Oh well at least my subscription to xbox live was renewed for cheap.

Resonably priced, this is a must have to enable use of the different featur ess s of the xbox one.

I enjoy having xbox live so I can play video games online against friends and other people. The year gold membership is the best bang for your buck.

The main perk is the 12-months of Xbox Live Gold, which is essential for owning an Xbox. There are other smaller perks with this particular 12-month card, but they aren't that great. Luckily, this costs the same as any other normal 12-month card, so may as well get a few extra perks as opposed to nothing.

I lovethe cards that last a year. You don't have to go every month to get a new one. Put the code in and you are done for another year. Wish theygave incentives on price when doing it for a year.

Xbox Live 12 month subscription card comes with a downloadable character for Killer Instinct, as well as the metal collectible Day One card. The value of Xbox Live is great, and the stability of the service is light years ahead of other platforms...great for multi-player and home entertainment options.

Great for online gaming, but if you have the xbox one, you can't use Live with people using live with xbox 360.

It is what it is. It looks cool, and matches the day one edition console. However, the price is a little high. Can't complain though, as it's not much different than buying gas for a car. If you want to get everything out of your new system, such as online gaming, etc., than you need an XBOX Live membership.

Xbox live is the best gaming community and renewing through bestbuy is convenient.

It's an awesome feeling... belonging. With this card, you will feel exclusive at the price of 60 lol. Usually, you can find a deal on 12months for 35-45. I was willing to pay for the Metal Card lol. I think it was worth the extra markup for a Day One 2013 card.
