If you want to give Xbox Live a try, or just need it for a short period of time (for example during summer vacation), this is not a bad deal. Otherwise you get more bang for your bucks if you get the 12-month subscription for $59.99 (hint: wait for it to go on sale, which happens quite often).

the Xbox Live 3 month plus one month plus 400 Microsoft Points deal for $15 was a good price.

My daughter is a sporadic Xbox user, so I didn't want to pay for a yearly Xbox live membership. This is perfect because I don't feel bad about paying $15 if she only goes online a few times every month.

If you cannot afford to pay the $60 for an Xbox Live Gold Membership at the moment, this is a great temporary fix so you can get your online gaming fix. The bonus month is a great, well, bonus.

XBox Live is great and has always been a great source of entertainment. Many of my friends use the service, but I'm afraid that Playstation Plus is a better service now. With PS+, you get tons of discounted and free games, whereas, XBox Live still has older games at full retail price. I still recommend the service, but Sony is ahead, in terms of value.

I got this for my teenage son. My wife happen to see the free month promotion and figured it was a good deal. We order online and pick it up at the store.
