    Things parents should know.

First, Fortnite is a free game. You are paying for Vbucks with this bundle (in game money). Second, loading the game was a nightmare. You have to use the Xbox controller to navigate an alphanumeric keypad to enter in a 25 digit code, and we kept getting an error saying "this game is too mature for you. Pick another game" and exiting. We entered the code five times before we realized that the console came default with parental settings of 10 and up. Third, the menu system of the console is terrible -- so many nested layers. It's very hard to find what you're looking for and very cumbersome. I don't know if the other consoles are better, but someone should redesign this thing to have a bunch of icons on a single page. I wish Steve Jobs had made a video game console.

      Hey there,

We're sorry that your Xbox One S bundle hasn't quite lived up to expectations. If entering codes with the controller is cumbersome, you can also log into Xbox Live on a browser and enter the code with a keyboard. When you log back into your Xbox One, the game will automatically download and install. Very disappointed mom. Brought this console for my son's birthday. Got everything hooked up and updates downloaded, Fortnite downloaded he played for a couple of hours shut the console down to eat dinner and now we can't get it to boot back up. Have hooked to different TV's, tried multiple HDMI cables and even tried a different power cord from my other son's xbox one S (same power cord) NOTHING nada.... Light comes on but system never boots. Tried to hold power button for 10 seconds to reboot. Unplugged, re-plugged, still nothing, showing no signal on multiple tv's. Guess my only choice now is to pack it back up and return it to Best Buy.

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your new Xbox One S. It sounds like you've done a good job at troubleshooting the issue, but just in case, try following these tips for what to do when experiencing problems starting up your system: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/tv-or-monitor-screen-is-blank-while-connected

If none of those solutions work, and if your Xbox One S is outside Best Buy's exchange period, your Xbox One S comes with a one-year limited warranty. Please visit the Device Services page here for assistance in repairing your device: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/devices

The reason why the Xbox is trash is because you HAVE TO BUY XBOX GOLD TO PLAY WITH OTHER PEOPLE!!!! Don’t buy this product that is why the PlayStation sold out and you can still get an Xbox because PlayStation is better don’t buy the Xbox unless you wanna pay 10 dollars a month to talk to people PlayStation is free to talk to people so get a PlayStation game

Let me tell you how I spent my day, 6 hours with customer service with an xbox that still won't work! We can't load the game, online chatting with someone from xbox/Microsoft is beyond painful. And now we have a controller that freezes. Never was able to load the game...
