Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the engaging gameplay, compelling story, and innovative Nemesis System in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Many also praise the game's beautiful open world and responsive controls. However, some players find the difficulty challenging, and a few note limited replayability after completing the main story. The game's strengths clearly outweigh its weaknesses for most players.

Pick it up….this one is worth it!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game reminds a lot of Far Cry 3 but with different twists. The ever changing hierarchy and power struggle is pretty cool. You will die a lot until you figure out how the orc's can be weakened and until you gain upgrades. AWESOME killing finishing moves and great graphics. Played maybe 8 hours and only completed 20%.

Absolutely amazing! One of the best PS4 games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've played almost all of the top hits for my ps4, and have loved this game immensely. I'm not a giant fan of the LOR movies, but this game has it all. Action, blood/gore, a great story, amazing fighting system, cool magic powers with your character, etc

Awesome Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not in the market to buy Shadows of Mordor because I was never really a big Lord of the Rings fan, but this game transcends the franchise. The graphics are great and the game play is interactive. Highly recommended and for $30, it was a steal!

Game Of The Year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Where to begin? The graphics are amazing. The gameplay is smooth. The storyline is great. I did every side mission & storyline missions, this is not a game that will be flipped in 2 days. You'll get your money's worth. Highly recommend this game!!!

Orcs must die
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fun open world game set in middle earth. Much grittier than those games based on the films and the nemesis system was a very interesting idea. Although it did not hook me as much as I expected I still appreciate what it was attempting.

Beheading Orcs...doesn't get much better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll keep this short and sweet, this game is amazing! The graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay is familiar to assassins creed. At first I was a little skeptical of the game because it is part of the Lord of the Rings franchise. I felt the game may be watered down, repetitive, and even a bit silly. However, this is simply not the case. There is an abundance of side missions to do as well as the characters skill tree to upgrade making your character more powerful. Also, the nemesis system is awesome. It's crazy how well the orcs remember you.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best games I have ever played! I bought it on Black Friday on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The graphics are great, the storyline is long and interesting, and you can avenge friends' deaths. Great and fun game!

You don't need to be a Lord of The Rings fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shadow of Mordor combines the best of many games. It has the stealth of Assassin's Creed, and the combat of Batman Arkham Asylum, while adding the Nemesis System; which is unlike anything that has ever been seen before. In the Nemesis System, enemies that you encounter remember you. So if a low level soldier defeats you, his power increases, and he is promoted within the army. You can also interrogate soldiers to learn War Chief's weaknesses, or even turn them against their War Chief. The Nemesis System creates a unique game for every players. Developers rarely try something new, and when they do, it doesn't always work. In this case, Monolith delivered.

Fresh ideas
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The nemesis system is a fresh idea that I would really like to see evolve. I only wish there was more content in this game..kinda left me wanting more. Imagine the Arkham games in Mordor and you get the gist of the battle system.

Great LOTR Game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shadow of Mordor is a great third person action game with beautiful visuals and deep role playing elements. Any player familiar with the game mechanics of Assassin's Creed and Batman series will be right at home with its game play. All in all, a very fun and adventurous game in deed.

great game and gameplay, just a little short.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For those looking for some good action and storyline, this is a great game in the fantasy genre. It is not terribly long, but there are a lot of lolite extras that you can do aside from the main storyline. I definitely enjoyed the game, and will try some of the other modes as well soon.

Addicting and well done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Combat is smooth as a Batman game but more brutal, parkour/traversal is done better than an Assassin's Creed game. The tone is dark and the enemies are everywhere. Plenty of collectables, upgrades, and side missions. The nemesis system never ends so there is always something to go back to. My only negative would be that I was able to 100% the game in about 25-27 hours but I was addicted the whole time. Highly recommended, if you're a fan of the newer bat man games, assassin's creed, or LOTR you will love this game.

An amazing game, fun and addicting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the game play and the way the game keeps track of the Orcs that kill you. The comments and increase in ability makes it fun to then have to seek revenge on those that have killed you. The story is interesting but a little disjointed. The open world is great, but a little hard to navigate at first. There is a lot to do do besides main missions. It has been described as a cross between Assassins Creed and aBatman Arkham game in the Lord of the Rings. I would agree with that assessment. This is a very good game.

Solid game with an interesting feature
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game competently complies elements of other games.what puts this game above the crowd is the nemesis system, hunting down enemies is addictive. Tolkien purists may not appreciate the alterations to established lore but the game has enough going for it to overlook this.

Batman and Assassins Creed meet LOTR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply put, this is a mix of Assassins Creed and it's open world gameplay with the combat of the Batman arkham games. Is this a bad thing? NO. It is a lot of fun. I'm a few days in and I have put a handful of hours in. There is no right or wrong way to play it. You can do whatever you want and progress the story as you wish. The nemesis system is pretty unreal. Being able to never see the same orcs twice is pretty cool. The orcs I encounter in my game will not be encountered by anyone else. Thats just cool!

You wont stop playing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the story line to this game. You find out a couple of things that relate to the Lord of the rings and the Hobbit books. Great graphics on the PS4 everything runs nice and smooth even with everything going on.

Great game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this game while it was on sale for $19.99. Then found out the were coming out with a GOTY edition. Still a great game without all the DLC. Game gets a little frustrating when you are not leveled up but gets better as you make your way up through the ranks.
