Like Assassin's Creed if you like that game. Fun being in Middle Earth. Fun, challenging game as you go after revenge against Sauron fighting through the ranks.

For those of you who were craving for an open world Lord of the Rings game, this may not be exactly what you wanted, but it is still pretty good.

Shadows of Mordor is a Good action game. It is similar in the play style of Assassins Creed and Batman Arkham games. It has a cool story line. If you like Lord of the Rings and like to roam around hacking up orcs and uruks then you'll enjoy the game. Sound and Graphics are great. Did notice a glitch every now and then with a orc or uruk floating in the air when fighting.

Good story line, but somewhat repetitive. Not as long of a gameplay you would like for this particular genre of game.

Game is alright much better on new Gen Consoles save your money till you get new Gen then get The game of the year.

excellent gameplay and movement, but the map was scaled down and you notice some fixes they did to make it old gen.

not associated with the movie too much it holds its own gameplay is solid side missions/quest are awesome and challenging. Hello I have been having trouble with the sound quality breaking up and the game glitched out and for some reason put me in between the arches of a bridge in the game. Still great game tho.

THE WORLD OF MIDDLE EARTH IS TRULY A FRESH AND OPEN EXPERIENCE AND HAS NEVER LOOKED BETTER. THE STORY AND ACTION ARE BOTH GRIPPING AND INTENSE. THE COMBAT AND GRAPHICS ARE BOTH EXCELLENT. THIS IS A GREAT GAME AND A BLAST TO PLAY. ONE OF THE BEST IF NOT THE BEST OF 2014

Story & side missions are phenomenal. I love that the characters move up in rank & power, if they kill you. Sending death threats to Warchiefs & Captains definitely makes things more interesting with the difficulty level. Overall awesome, fun, & challenging game.

WB games has delivered with this Lord of the Rings Game. A fine addition to my PS3 library. I am enjoying leveling up and it doesn't feel like a huge grind. I am extremely satisfied with this game.Graphics and voice acting are fantastic.

If you are a fan of the Assassins Creed games and you are a fan of anything Middle-earth related (or you are from there), this game definitely for you. I have not finished the game yet, there's a lot to do, but so far it's a great game.

The story is fun and intricate. LOTR fans will enjoy.

Great combination of open mission game play (assassin creed) and middle earth. Is fairly hard on PS3 hardware with quite a bit of loading, if possible go with the newer generation version.

The game was a great mix of Batman and Assassin's Creed; sadly, the PS3 version is a piece of garbage. It is full of glitches and bad textures, as well as frame drops. If you can't afford another version, I'd still advice you to consider another game.

basically lotr take on assassins creed. recommended for fans of either series. interesting story, gameplay and enemy ranking system. many character abilities to upgrade/tinker with.

Great game, however, the only downside is that it takes a while to load missions. It can also be glitchy sometimes. I would find myself stuck in some corner, unable to move, then having to restart the game, losing my progress.
