This one is definitely a worthy successor. Adds some tower defense/offense type stuff, fight pits, lengthy story (though leveling up is a GRIND). Pretty challenging too. If you enjoyed the first, you'll enjoy this too.

Oh my what a amazing game this is. Where do I start, everywhere this game was improved. The first game I loved so much I got a platinum trophy on ps4. I’m planning to get all achievements with this one on Xbox one X.

If your a fan of the lord of the rings movies, or of the hobbit, this is a must buy if your a gamer. In general, it is an excellent game that offers the same things that you would have liked in the first game without changing drastically, compared to other sequel video games of other stories, and at the same time offers so much more. Combat is satisfying, characters are wickedly cool, and story/plot is amazing. If you are a new fan or a fan of old of this Universe's lore leaves you wanting more.

If you enjoyed the first installment in this series, you will love Shadow of War. Everything that was great about its predecessor is included and expanded upon. Highly recommend this game if you are into action RPGs.

After finish the game and I can say that I had a lot of fun with Shadow of War. One of the best games that I played this year. If you enjoyed the first game (Shadow of Mordor), definitely you will enjoy the new one.

I played the first shadow game shadow of mordor an I loved and the second game is just a great as the first. It has plenty of combat and skill growing. The graphics are outstanding and like the game play is awesome.

Very decent game that is not in quite the same style as its predecessor which was more of a hack-and-slash. Solid graphics and great gameplay, some lip sync issues, but I'm willing to overlook those minor things.

Took everything good from the first game and improved upon it. The main story goes way longer and deeper, and the Middle Earth lore & history is fascinating. Prob the best game i have played on Xbox this year.

If you liked the first one at all, then you will love this game. For those who are new to the game, you will like it if you enjoyed the play style of Batman Arkham Knight or any of the Assassins Creed games.

If you enjoyed the first game in this series you should enjoy the newest one as well. There is more to explore ands of orcs to kill or dominate. Bigger, better and more ways to play; what a sequel should be.

I know this game has got mixed reviews but for the strategic gamer this is a great game. Takes some patience to build up your army and progress through the story but its worth. Not your hack and slash game.

This game is a master peice, if you liked the first game you will live this one! Improved nemesis system, fortress defenses\assaults, and a whole new skill tree to fit your play style, and brand new tribes and regions to explore. I highly recommend, you'll get at least 50+ enjoyable hours out of this game.

I've only been able to play about an hour so far because my kids are ALWAYS playing it. Amazing 4K HDR graphics. Love the storyline and game mechanics. Can't wait to ride a dragon and take on the Balrog!

If you enjoyed playing shadow of mordor, you will love this game. It takes everything that was good about the last one and expenses upon it. So much content had been added compared to the first as well.

I loved Shadow or Mordor when it was released two years ago and played the heck out of that game. The introductions of micro transactions to the game kept me at bay until a black friday sale. However, after playing it I really enjoyed it and the micro transactions are not as abrasive as in other games.

Everything the original was and then more! So many more captains to kill or take over now! The abilities get even more crazy and violent. If you enjoyed the first game this one is an easy must buy!

Awesome game! Better than the original by far. The castle siege missions are a blast and recruiting orc captains to your army is a great upgrade. Only down side so far is staying up way too late on it

This game really builds on the 1st release and takes it waaaaay further. There's plenty to do and no 2 playthroughs will be the same. Definitely recommend picking up if you loved/played the 1st game.

Better than the original. Would recommend it to any LOTR fan. Game makers use some creative writing and move away from Tolkien and true middleearth lore, but besides that fact, a great game to own.
