I think it worked for 6 mont then died altogether.

I still have it plugged in, but can't get it to do anything. It never give us any warnings during that time, but I could press a button and hear static once in awhile to see it it worked. Now it does nothing.

So I have a weather radio that is a paperweight. It took me week to find the NOAA station Number But now the Radio want let me code it in. Hurricane season will be in full swing and all I'll have is a paperweight.

Effective and great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This little jewel can be set to only go off when the emergency conditions you choose arise in the counties you chose. You can make it sound an alarm or speak the warning in an odd but effective computer voice. Stick some batteries in it and it will continue to work when the power goes out. The volume can be adjusted so you can put it by your bed or in the middle of the house. And it's a great value too. I didn't hear it in my basement office with the door closed when it went off on the upstairs balcony, so it's not THAT loud, but everyone who wasn't in such a safe underground location heard it just fine.
