    Darker Than "The X-Files"?

The second season of "Millennium," the darker, more twisted cousin of "The X-Files" (it, too, was created by Chris Carter), actually takes everything that made the chilling first season so good and throws it out the window. With Carter back on "The X-Files" and season 1 producers Glen Morgan and James Wong (also from "The X-Files") in charge for the second season, the episodes got lighter and sillier (they brought back Charles Nelson Reilly in his "X-Files" role as author Jose Chung, for crying out loud!). Gone was the dark, gory underbelly that made "Millennium" good television. Thankfully, Season 3 of "Millennium" restores some of that darkness as it attempts to wrap up the series with a bow. Still better than most of what's being churned out today, though.

Great concept and excellent show. I actually own the release in it's original 1 disc per 1 slimline case packaging and have been buying it in this smaller packaging (all discs in a one-dvd sized package) in order to reduce the room taken up by the series. I would buy it on blu-ray if that day comes. Season 2 had some great memorable episodes.

Only 3 seasons long, still think season one was better. Waiting for season 3 to become affordable. Didn't care for the comedic elements in season 2. Get to see origins of fledgling writers. I'd recommend only if you were followers of X-files; Pretender; Alias; Fringe; Breaking Bad; American Horror Story; etc.

I watched this series when it was originally on TV. It's an interesting story, great scripts, and well acted. Glad to finally get the complete series all together on DVD. Featurettes and documentary were a good addition to the set.

I watched this show faithfully when it was on TV. The story line was like no other at the time. If you're a fan of X-Files, you'll like this. Chris Carter is brilliant!

I have had the 1st season FOREVER, but couldn't believe my luck finding season 2. This was a very under appreciated, good show. CREEPY!

I liked this show way better than X files. Lance Henriksen is great in this tv show. This is the second season of three. Too bad enough people didnt watch it.
