It was a good film. But not much more. I had very high expectations however from this studio. It is interesting, watch but probably not a buy.

A superb effort to portray some of the thoughts and feelings a young child might experience. I think that the film is remarkable in how accurately these experiences and emotions are portrayed. The plot devices used to explore the perspectives of several different characters are rather charming and clever. I certainly came received several insights into my own experiences in life through watching this film. It was somewhat therapeutic in some regards.

I may have to re-watch it again but it was a little hard to follow what was going on.

The disc was messed up and only half of the movie was readable. There was obviously some sort of malfuction when it was made because the disc was literally see through. If you order make sure to check your discs right away.

A great emotional movie about family. A classic lovie

I haven’t watched this yet but it is directed by Mamoru Hosoda who has made many fantastically animated films before!

This is one of the most boring movies animated or otherwise I have ever watched. There is little to no plot.

I like Hosodas works for the most part but much like Wolf Children I just didn't like this movie and kept waiting for it to end in the hopes something would change my opinion. The issues are that it's too focused around the kid who continously acts like an annoying brat from beginning to end and basically ignores the concept of future Mirai only using her sparingly. I only watched the film maybe a week ago and my memory is already vague so that's not a good sign. My suggestion? You may like it if you like kids but if you don't than skip it an just watch Summer Wars, Boy and His Beast, or Girl Who Leapt Through Time all of them are better films than this. If you want to see it rent it first. All that being said if Hosoda has more movies I would still check them out since I do like him as a director. That's the only reason I would recommend this to anyone.
