Customers love the SURGE SERIES Wireless Smart DLP Projector's picture quality and portability, frequently praising its ease of setup and compact size. However, some users point out that the battery life could be improved, and the fan noise is noticeable at times. The projector's brightness and Bluetooth connectivity are also frequently highlighted as positive aspects. While some minor sound issues were reported, the overall user experience appears to be positive.

Wished the battery would last longer but lasts enough for what I need for. Plus you can have it charging while in use. Have this hooked to my iPhone using apples hdmi piece that way I can mirror it.

I don't often write reviews for products, but this little jewel is so great I just had to.
I picked one up from BestBuy, just trying to get the cheapest projector that was actually HD capable.
I was a little hesitant due to some of the reviews for their other models.
After using it however, I can't believe I considered not getting one.
First off, it's small, and ultra portable. The built in battery means you can take it anywhere project great HD video.
The built in Android system is really nice (albeit running an ancient version of Android...) You don't have access to the Google Play Store, but the app store that Miroir provides had a decent selection of streaming media apps.
Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, HBOGo, etc... Video playback works great! I read some reviews with people complaining about poor video streaming, but I haven't seen any issues at all. I also haven't tried playing media off the local media player, but can't imagine it would have issues...
Also available in the store are the mobile versions of Word, Excel and Powerpoint, so great for a presentation too.
Picture is absolutely amazing considering what this little device is. 400 lumens doesn't sound like a lot, but it's surprisingly bright. Your not going to watch something in broad daylight by any means, but a dark room, or outside once dusk has come it's perfectly fine. It's rated for a 100 inch screen size, and I'm sure that's optimal... But it works great well above that side. I've taken it up to at least 250 inches and it's still plenty clear and bright.
Don't expect the picture of a $1k home theater projector... But it's surprisingly close...
HDMI input is wonderful to have! Hook up pretty much any device, I've used DVD players, my Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, Chromecast, and Microsoft MIRACAST stick. Sometimes you have some trouble getting it to pick up the HDMI signal, but just unplug it and plug it back in and your good!
Mario Kart with lifesize cars is AMAZING!!!
Battery life isn't as good as it could be, I get roughly an hour of YouTube streaming... Less if I'm using a media stick that is powered over USB...
But, throw a nice USB battery pack on it and you can go for MUCH longer.
The included remote is REALLY nice. Very functional in and of itself, but the mouse mode makes for very easy browsing.
Bluetooth audio output is nice, but I mostly use the audio jack to plug in to external speakers.
Although I've seen quite a few people downing the speakers in the device, I don't see why... They sound good and are plenty loud if you consider the size of the device they are in!
Overall, this little technical marvel is a must for any gadget person, or anyone looking for a good general purpose projector. I highly recommend getting one NOW!

Many Pros, Some Flaws

Having used it for a few months and after mounting. There is a short list of important pros, but many more minor cons.
For reference, I do have an OLED right behind our projector screen for daytime uses.
Pros:
1. Picture quality is very sharp for a 720P native, and even better when the source is at 1080P, even after it downscales. The color range is there. The image pops when in VIVID mode, to be mentioned below.
2. The default contrast ratio is very low, but with its VIVID mode, it is about 3x brighter and much better contrast.
3. The user interface is easy enough for the family to use. A smart and friendly interface, based on Android here, was simple enough and the processor feels quick.
4. The throw ratio is short for a small room. We do not have a lot of space and distance for the entire setup. At less than around 10ft, the screen is as advertised 100" with again, a very bright image and the sharpness retained. Ideally, in a dimly lit room, it is fine, but the darker, the better.
5. It has autofocus, so you wouldn't have to hassle with it--but you can, if you have time to waste. I never found the use to manually focus in the interface. It also has auto keystone correction.
Now for the CONS,
1. The fan is a bit annoying. We have this mounted about 2 feet from our heads and I had to open and solder a resistor in series, with the Red (positive) lead to lower the fan speed. If you need to know, it is 4 tiny screws underneath, then carefully pull the top, and use a 10 to 20 ohms resistor. Only after then, the noise is not noticeable during movies but it seems to still maintain a steady temperature. I, nor BestBuy, or anyone else, do not take responsibility if you choose to do this. It is much easier than it sounds and much better than trying to baffle the fan vents noise.
2. The autofocus greatly helps with the sharpness, but the keystone is not sensitive enough. At greater degrees of angle, is when it senses to compensate for the image. For ex. keystone corrects the image when you mount the projector at an angle from the screen. This is a minor con, because the image is not too bad when the top and bottom is only about 1/2" off.
3. The smart part is fine in the term of user-ability, but I highly recommend to use an HDMI stick like the Fire stick or Roku. Here is why, the built-in wireless is not fast enough to stream around 720P and will buffer a lot when at 1080P. I have wireless-AC so it is not my wireless router as the bottleneck. Also, as mentioned above, the sticks will source at 1080P, and it definitely is noticeably better.
4. Bluetooth connection can have audio sync lag. This is a common issue with all bluetooth, unless they can use something nicer like AptX, which I don't think it has. So, you'll have to use the available 3.5mm audio jack for lagless audio. Unless your stick has the option to delay the audio.
Other facts.
1. It has to be mounted using a common screw-type that is used to mount cameras like the DSLR mounts or GoPros. Lucky for us, online sites like AZ or eB have the wall mounts for cheaps. This also means the projector cannot be mounted from the ceiling because it cannot flip (upside-down) its image. This would be nice since the fan noise will be directed upwards instead.
2. There is also an micro-USB slot so you can power your stick from it also. A nice plus.
Overall, would I recommend it. For the price of 300 to 350, yes. It beats other portable-size projectors in native resolution, brightness, color and a very good low throw-ratio.
At the moment, it is our primary big-screen experience at home, using a 100" screen. But I will probably put it in the kid's room in the future, upgrade to a 1080P (~$500+) or 4K projector (~$900), when I have 4x the money to spend someday-till then, the family loves this.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope I have helped you come to some decision, and it does not have to be this product.

Excellent projector in every way regarding sound, picture, brightness, and portability. The one flaw is that it is not compatible with Google's Chromecast. I noticed the sound on some of the films in my Google Movies library had some strange sound artifacts. I called Google and they said their Chromecast is not compatible with projector. This is too bad because in every other way a great device.

We bought this device to show movies for an outside movie night. The picture is great and it scales very large. The picture is quite bright even in well lit buildings. The menus can be hard to see in well lit buildings. The blue tooth hooked up to a sound bar and gave excellent sound but was on a ever so slight delay. Usually not noticeable except in heavy conversations.

Purchased this perfect device for work while traveling after getting the call for basic a/v needs. The set up was simple and it displayed the presentation perfectly for the small group. Bought this for my daughter to use while she is living out of state during the summer for watching Netflix and other programs. Initially she had a problem that it was just running off the battery and only lasted 1.5 hrs max. Miroir customer support was outstanding. The issue ended up being the AC plug in adapter was not keeping up. Replaced the AC power plug with a USB-C and it has been working great with no problems. Can watch movies/shows for hours. Sound quality was better than expected. Great portability. Can take it anywhere. Easy to connect to phone (Android), Laptop, or internet to use the installed apps on the device. I would recommend potentially getting a USB-C ac adaptor for faster recharging given the issue we had with the original AC adapter didn't work for keeping the projector running without draining the battery.

This projector is so wonderful! It is portable. It connects with Bluetooth, and it even has apps like Powerpoint on it it so that you don't have to connect it. The remote can be a bit hard to control in "mouse" mode, but you get the hang of it. We also have the slightly lower end version which is great, but the brightness is even brighter on this model. We love it!

Worthwhile Mini Projector

The Miroir M300 mini projector has a clear and fairly bright image although window shades are definitely needed for a sunlit room. It is not too difficult to use, but it is necessary to study the manual and attempt a few of the options to determine what functions for a chosen source. I could not get the projector to link wirelessly to my SurfaceBook except through the separate Windows 10 Wireless Display Adaptor (using both the HDMI and USB ports on the projector). If its user interface was more intuitive and convenient, it would be a five-star rating, but, overall, I really like the projector.

Always ready to go with it's built in battery and it's bright enough to present in medium size room with low lighting. Love the USB C charging and auto focus. Battery only good for 45mins so I just connect it to a power bank and can watch a whole movie.

This little projector does everything that is advertises. It is an Android based platform and does enable you to download from the Android app store (limited). The picture quality is very good especially in dark areas, like most projectors the darker the better. It is a native 1080p resolution. It fits nicely on a tripod stand with no problem because of its small size, no stability issues. The battery does last approximately 90 minutes, but remember is also comes with an AC adapter so you can always plug it in and have plenty of play time. I would like to have payed less for it, but in my opinion there is just nothing close to its ability and size, so the cost was worth is to me.

Bought this projector to use outside, at night, and was very surprised that it put out a really good picture. Could be a little brighter, but very good for the price. Plugged a Chromecast in the HDMI slot to stream videos and connected a bluetooth speaker to the projectors bluetooth. There is a slight delay in the sound doing it that way. Using the apps that can be installed (Netflix), there is no delay in sound using bluetooth. Good product with minor issues I was able to work around.

This is a good mini projector. Very compact and bright and good features. Very pleased EXCEPT - the battery life is horrible. Battery runs dead very fast. Any use over 30 minutes will almost always require using DC adapter. This may be normal for this type of device but the ability to operate longer on portable charge would be a big plus

I really like this projector. It does as it says . In some of the reviews it says the fan is loud. In my opinion you cannot hear the fan if you are watching the movie. One thing that I would like to change is the keystone adjustment. You cannot adjust the keystone manually. You can have it focus for you and that is it.
