I can't get enough of this movie. I really don't wanna give away any details because it's that fun to discover for yourself. I will say that all the actors are at the top of their game in this one! So, if you're looking for a new an interesting take on technology, A.I., and human emotion then this is something you wanna check out.

This is one of those films that you'll find yourself thinking about days after the initial viewing. I knew very little about this film, but knew enough that I took a chance on blind-buying the blu-ray. I loved this film more because of the complex human-synth relationships that were explored in the film. Highly recommended if you're a fan of Sci-Fi.

I saw this movie a few years ago and enjoyed it- it's just different enough to keep you focused on it. The production value is low with only a small set and a few actors but the characterization and plot really suck you into the world of the story. When Best Buy had this on sale, I jumped on the opportunity.

I really enjoyed this movie. I didn't what to expect when seeing it the first time and it was amazing! With a small cast they pull everything off really well. Great acting, SFX, and well written. It keeps you in until the very end and leaves you questioning at the end as well. If you enjoy futuristic SCI-FI this one is a great one to have.

Ex Machina is a very well-written and well-acted sci-fi thriller. The "robots are taking over" theme has been done a million times, but this film is one of the best executioners of that storyline thanks to the quality of the acting, the beautiful cinematography, and the great pacing.

Movie was ok, started out slow put eventually pick up steam as it went on. The special effects where very good and the Director and Producer did a great job with creating and illustrating the possibilities of advance Robotic Technology and how AI could pose a threat to mankind. Was a great deal on sale at the time at Best Buy!

With just a few minor quibbles with the logic & conceit of the film this is a solid feature and well worth your time. Garland wrote the screenplays for '28 days later'(2002), 'Dredd' [the good one, with Karl Urban](2012) and 'Sunshine'(2007)...his respect for science fiction is obvious, he never goes to cliche sci-fi stupidity.

A friend recommended this and I hadn't heard of it. Apparently it's written by the same fellow who wrote 28 Days Later, a movie I very much enjoyed. This movie really pulls you into the story, leaves you thinking, and leaves you with suspense. I enjoyed it and had to buy my own copy to watch again with some family.

I bought this without seeing it beforehand. Luckily, it was just as good as I hoped. A lot of movies covering this topic go for a lighter side or action side of the topic, this is not one of those films. Oscar Issac is hauntingly mysterious in this dark Artificial Intelligence film that covers what it means to be human as well.

Although within the realm of sci-fi many have tackled the subject matter before, this take on artificial intelligence and the hubris of brilliant but blinded minds was so well done, (dialogue, pacing, and performances) that you begin to entertain different outcomes and the ending leaves a lasting impression.

The story is simple but by the end this film thrills. It's anchored by a performance both charismatic and menacing by Oscar Isaac, a multi layered feat by Alicia Vikander that requires peeling back layers that were always there in hindsight, and a tough act of Gleeson being both an everyman and daring in a quiet manner.

Alicia Vikander puts in a career defining performance as a robot that has very human traits, of both good and evil. must watch movie for any fan of science fiction.

This movie was better than I expected. I would have liked to see more character developement in to two living entities. The ending was pretty much determined very close to the start, I mean, where else could the writers go with this. Still, it caused me to think more about what robotics would do to the human species.

It was an interesting movie to watch I enjoy the characters dialogue between each other especially the female robot I thought the story was a little bit on the weak side but the concept of the AI is interesting to watch. The music and sound effects were beautiful also does anyone know if t can purchase the Asian robot?!

I cant say enough about this abstract sci fi story. The story of machines and technology is common but the style and narrative of this film is remarkable. Underrated but so inventive in its characters and their motivations. The visuals are stunning and so imaginative. Thoroughly enjoyed the performances and the visuals.

This sci-fi movie uses the talents of 4 actors to tell a stark and disturbing tale of the development and testing of artificial intelligence in humanoid form. How are the subtleties of being human transplanted to androids? This is a must see for thought provoking content, good dialog, an intricate story, and a twist.

Incredibly well done movie with strong acting and a great story. I expected it to be a little more violent than it was. Which is a good thing. And it actually had some humor which I did not expect. The movie poses some interesting questions and technology and where we are headed. It keeps you guessing throughout and until the very end.

First and foremost, this is an excellent and smart science-fiction film. If you are familiar with it, it plays like an extended episode of the wonderfully dark U.K. science-fiction series "Black Mirror". The lead character in this film is even in and episode of the show! Anyways, an awesome film and a great Blu-ray! Highly recommended!

Had heard very good things from this movie. Upon watching it captured my attention very quickly and was extremely interested along with its very casual yet extremely entertaining dialogue. Many twists and turns. Great picture quality as well.

I really enjoyed this movie! I liked the tone of the plot and eerie connection between man and machine. One of the best independent sci- movies I have viewed in a long time. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys movies about science fiction or anyone who would like to see creative twits on robot films.
