This is for story driven movie watchers only. If you anticipate action with this movie you will be disappointed. For me this movie does a great job of exploring the pros and cons of A.I. I rate the acting as top notch and great story. There is a little to much fowl language in parts for me, and there is full nudity.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this film, but I decided to take a shot since the hype was great. I'm happy to say that it wasn't wrong. This was a quietly and beautifully creepy movie about one man's assessment of an A.I. and his dealings with its quirky and sometimes scary creator. Definitely a unique film.

This movie surprised me! It seemed as if it would be boring in the beginning...all the gray and dull color was kinda depressing. BUT, it picked up shortly after the young man arrived and it kept my attention for the rest of the movie. It was really good, similar to " Morgan " I really liked it!!

A great film from the writer from 28 Days Later. In his directorial debut he tells the tale of the quest to create the perfect AI in a billionaires isolated mansion/lab. He does a good job of masking everyone's true motives. Great film for any Sci-fi and Stanley Kubrick fans. Highly recommended.

This is one of those movies that grabs you and doesn't let go... and as you watch, you think to yourself, "Wow, I am REALLY enjoying this movie." There have been a number of "AI" movies as of late, and this may be the best. Great cast, great story, and a twist. We had to make this a part of our collection.

This movie does a great job of creating an atmosphere that puts your trust and nerves on edge throughout the movie. The material is so easy to relate to that you feel you are the characters. Though the movie is well done, I don't know that I would want put my nerves through a sequel that far down the rabbit hole.

This movie is very underrated. It kind of flew under the radar when it came out. There are only a few characters in the movie, but the acting is awesome. Oscar Isaac is great in it. The sets and all the production are spot on too. It is definitely one of my favorite sci-fi movies.

Visually fantastic and music is suitably cold and wonderful in it's own right, but plot falls apart at the end. Though I saw the end coming (very early on) I was really hoping it wasn't going that route. Characters are supposed to be extremely smart but make the dumbest choices I've seen outside of Friday the 13th sequel. Writer/director has long suffered from "M. Night syndrome" where his endings just take the gas out of the overall viewing experience. He has a spectacular team around him and has a lot of potential to be great--he just needs to get out of his own way.

This film deserves all the praise critics and moviegoers have heaped on it. The three main actors each give excellent performances, the cinematography is gorgeous, and the movie as a whole creates an engrossing atmosphere. The climax of this film is the best sort of haunting, as well as thought-provoking.

Ex Machina is a great movie. I would and have recommended it to several of my friends and they have all liked it as well, it has a good story that pulls you in and gets you thinking. It's a great movie for adults or older teens with a long attention span as it is not the fastest paced movie.

The AI future is real and the director took a great look to show us that we must look at what we wish for, for it can change the human life. The actress that took the role of the AI did a excellent job in bringing that character to life.

As my review with The Arrival this is pretty much the same. Scientific movies should be made to make one think. This movie does the same and makes you think what makes an individual human. If you like movies where you have to use your mind, please watch this movie and you won't be disappointed.

This is a movie that will only appeal to a certain audience. I liked it, but what not what I expected. Obscene wealth & Artificial Intelligence ... came off as dark & spasmodic. Seemed to really drag in places & was not really believable. But it had visual effects that were great!

Alex Garland wrote some great scripts for Danny Boyle, and he didn't let up when he stepped into the director's chair for this story that touches on the nature of intelligence as well relations between men and women. Very smart and disturbing. Well worth a purchase.

Well worth seeing if you are a fan of Sci Fi. Its no Terminators movie so don't expect entire cities to be destroyed in the big battles. Its a more personal trip that this movie has to offer. Production values are good and the story is enough to keep you involved.

Its hard to say much about this movie without giving away the plot lines. Suffice it to say that, as a science fiction fan, I was blown away at how good this movie is. I honestly expected some sort of Lucy knockoff but it is much deeper and more provocative. This is definitely worth a watch.

Ex Machina is great movie, and the video/sound are top-notch with this release. The picture is improved over the standard blu ray version, but maybe not as much as other titles I've seen. If you're a fan of this movie, have 4K and do not own the blu ray, I would highly recommend it.

This one will twist your mind for sure but it won the oscar for best visual effects...that's enough reason to check it out there but the real question is where is the sequel to this...This movie is what AI wishes it could have been lol.

I didn't get a chance to see this movie in a theater, but I bought the blu-ray disc after hearing great reviews of it. It's an excellent and intelligent treatment of an issue that is becoming more prominent every year: robotics and artificial intelligence. I highly recommend this movie!

Ex Machina was a great movie with an interesting plot, though the ending is a bit predictable, I think. Alicia Vikander is mysteriously awesome and Domhnall Gleeson's character was well scripted. Oscar Isaac's performance was weird...but very interesting.
