Some say that the moment A.I. becomes as smart as a human, moving beyond the simple processes of say Google maps, it will have the potential to become more intelligent than the sum of humanity. This movie touches on this. An interesting watch.

I heard a lot of great things about this movie. I have to say it took me a few days to soak it all in but it turned out favorable. The picture was perfect and acting was great. It left me feeling up in the air, but after a few days I understood it. Great movie.

The direction is a bit predictable and the film goes on for a few minutes beyond what should be its conclusion (even though I like the last shot), but this is an intelligent sci-fi that offers great food for thought, an amazing production design and impressive visual effects.

I bought this as a blind buy and I wasn't disappointed. This movie makes you think about how much we depend on technology and how far we want to take it. If you like sci-fi that makes you think, especially about what it means to be alive and human, you will not be disappointed.

Great movie .. will get your attention from start to finish, and makes you think more about it after it ended. Great acting and movie itself had very good picture and sound.

Now this is how movies should be made. Minimal but convincing CGI. Top notch acting by the three to four players. I beautifully composed score. I've purchased this as a gift several times. This is sci-fi with horror elements. It's a thriller. See this film!

Ex Machina was shot 4k and was pit through a 2k DI in post. This makes this (like many ither 4k uhd blu rays) an upscale. Still superior to its blu ray counterpart with noticeably better detail and the HDR really makes every scene sing.

I originally thought Ex-Machina was a live action take on the anime Deus Ex-Machina. It isn't. This is a creepy sci-fi tale that will have you thinking. I enjoyed it and will watch it again. Fair warning, there is a substantial amount of nudity in this film.

This movie is self is engaging, thoroughly watchable, the characters are simple and yet layered with complexity. The film strikes the perfect balance of not spoon feeding and not dumbing down, but not being too arty or intellectual just for the sake of it.

It doesn't take a lot of money to make a good SF film, just a good idea. And a writer/director like Alex Garland to bring it to life. This film is winning a ton of awards, and rightfully so. It's good-looking, thoughtful and original; a rarity nowadays.

A challenging and rewarding sci-fi film, well-written and directed. The sound and picture quality are gorgeous on blu-ray. The special features add to the experience. Destined to be a sci-fi classic, and putting it on blu-ray is a great way to preserve it!

I like these kind of movies, but you have to be in a mood to really enjoy it. It is not the kind of movie you just casually watch. The story is very thoughtful and the imagery is quite stunning, specially in 4k.

This movie was good, though I must still see it straight through, as the few times I've attempted to watch it, I was surrounded by talkers lol each time I watched this movie, I enjoyed it - I am looking forward to watching it alone and straight through.

Pretty predictable story line but one good experience to watch. A little bit of a twist at the end. Good special effects. Will have you question if we are ready to even actually have robots in the future. Are we going to exploit them? Great movie to watch.

Full of plot holes, but hey - it's a movie! Probably the most fun movie I've seen exploring the topic of AI (artificial intelligence). Not very accurate, but fun. Gorgeous lady robots. What can I say?

this story shows why we should think twice before we turn technology loose. Alicia Vikander is wonderful as the beautiful AI who turns the tables on her maker. Riviting and leaves you with a lot to think about. A great movie that was over looked at the box office.

I went in to this purchase knowing nothing about this movie other than that it was worth my time to watch, and they were right. This movie brings up some interesting ideas in the world of AI and robotics, and also about love. I would definitely recommend.

The movie evolves between Ava, a cybernetic creation, played by Alicia Vikander and a computer programmer Caleb played by Domhnall Gleeson, Caleb's mission is to perform a tuning test to see if Ava is actually able to think for herself. Very interesting!

This movie makes you rethink about AI and even a bit of how you think/feel about love. The actor Alicia Vikander is amazing! Also I would believe you if you told me that this was a scary movie, its just scary enough.

This movie is original and compelling. Powerfully scored, well written and superbly directed. I was a bit apprehensive to watch it in theaters so I didn't. I'm glad I got it and it came with a digital copy, which is how I watched. This is a must see for true movie lovers.
