If you like science fiction movies with artificial intelligence than this is a must see movie! This is not an action sci-fi movie but more of as story driven movie. Well worth $15 - $20.00. Does have replay value.

Movie was OK , but not what I expected. Slow moving. My copy actually stopped about 2/3rds into movie, to finish I had to switch to other dvd not in 4khd.

This film takes you on a journey like no other. Not hard to follow and it will show you endless possibilities that this world has to offer, well at least someday technology will find its way. What a great film!

Pretty cool "what if" about AI. I wouldn't recommend watching this in front of the "little ones" since there is a fair amount of nudity and sexual situations. Worth a look.

Definitely not the Isaac Asimov robot story. Extremely well done, great acting and story from very conceivable technology. If you like sci-fi with a super story line and great acting, this is for you.

It's a look at what can happen once we create AI's that like and think like humans. It keeps you thinking the pros and cons of pushing the envelope of playing God to better the human race.

This movie has a great plot and solid performances by all the actors. It's very thought provoking and will keep you engaged about the themes touched on in the movie long after the credits have finished rolling.

Not a ton of action in this movie, but it was ok. It seemed short, but it was just a really fast-moving movie. This is more of a sci-fi thriller. The 4K version did not impress me at all. I feel like it was a waste of money simply due to the poor blacks. The few outdoor scenes looked amazing, but overall I was not impressed. The audio was decent, but I found myself having to crank up the volume to really get the cinematic effect that I'm used to in a home theater. Atmos was nearly nonexistent.

This is a great science fiction story by Alex Garland that may tread on familiar land but feels fresh and strong. With only about four actors in the entire film, it has you gripped from start to finish.

For the low price, this is a great film to own. To me, this seems more like a conceptual film that shows us the inevitability of what will happen when technology becomes too advanced.

This is definitely the best way to watch this movie if you have a theater home setup.

The movie visually draws you in with its unique environment and the clash of nature vs technology. The story, acting, and dialogue will keep you on your toes as you listen for every little hint of what may become.

For such a minimal amount of actors and basically the lack of settings the chi was great and made up for it, the movie made you pay attention and over all loved it... will keep this in my movie library!

This is a must have for Sci Fi movie lovers. It looks great on 4K blu ray also. And this has the plus of actually being shot in 4K and not just a conversion from a 2k or 3k movie.

Time will tell if this film serves simply as entertainment or a peek into the near future. Whichever that turns out to be it's still a film worthy of adding to your collection.

An odd look at robot/human love where the female robot is sexy towards her human boyfriend but not really for the usual reasons. The special effects are stunning so be sure to get blu-ray if you can.

Can man play God. How artificial is Artificial Intelligence? How can you accurately test A I ? This movie attempts to answer those questions while your always kept off balance. Fascinating.

A film with a lot of nuance and home driving plot points. The acting is perfect, and it all blends to deliver a must see performance and story. Watch this movie!

Alex Garland's Ex Machina is both smart and disturbing. It is very well directed with amazing visuals and a great premise!
