An eccentric, possibly mad, scientist (Oscar Isaac) has created an impressive humanlike android (Alicia Vikander). He brings in a nerdy computer programmer (Domhnall Geeson) as part of an experiment to determine just how human the robot is. Lots of metaphysical questions on the nature of life and intelligence and love, and tension galore in form of a romantic/obsessive triangle. The story is engaging, but the characters too wooden and unbelievable. The robot comes across as more human than the humans. This movie could have been so much better.
