It says it can discard credit card but I have tried would not recommend it to anyone using this shredded. Pretty good for the price would I buy it again? For sure only for light use.

It fits the waste basket of the old one and does the job well for a lot less than a whole shredder would have cost. Word to the wise: if you are shredding a lot at the same time it might get hot and need some time to cool off before working again.
