Says it will shred 6 sheets but wouldn't even take 1 in straight. I cleaned it out several times hoping for better performance but even with nothing in it, it just continued to run (auto) and started to smell and over heat. Took it back immediately.

I read the other reviews and I should have listened to them. They said the shredder lasted only a few pages and that is exactly what happened with mine. I returned it.

NEVER WORKED. After spending an extended time finding a plastic basket that would fit this Shredder, IT just would NOT operate at all. It is in the basement trash pile currently. I am disgusted!

Had it shipped to home, used it for 1 hour with less than max number of pages. It decided to jam and quit working. never worked again. had to return.

i recommend wasting a little more money to buy something much better!! this this doesn't do a good job!!

I bought this to replace an older model portable shredder. This one is terrible. It jammed in 5 minutes. Need to return or throw it out.

I bought this product when it was on sale. I am so happy that I would purchase it again even if the price would be twice as much (I paid $10 for it). It feels sturdy and it works great (I used more than 6 pages at a time without any issues). I am really satisfied with it. P.S. I just finished shredding a 13 gals bag of paper. I love this machine.

Absolutely terrible. Did not work well from the first day.

I purchased this shredder to replace a crosscut model that had outlived its usefulness. This little shredder works well for my needs: personal mail and papers. It's compact, light, and does not make a mess when trying to empty the basket The hardest thing was finding a wastebasket small enough for it to fit over. I would have liked it much better if the extender arm had opened more than one inch.

This shredder does what it says it will do at a very good price. I can't knock it for that, hence my high star rating. The problem is that strip shredders aren't adequate these days. If you really need a strip shredder for some reason, this will do fine, but you don't need a strip shredder. If you want a shredder, you want at least a cross-cut shredder.

Not bad a for the price. Shreds paper as expected. If you don't need anything heavy duty, this will do the job.

Our old shredder at work stopped working. Decided to buy two of these to try since they were small and could conveniently be placed over smaller recycle bins. Turned out to be a good buy. The shredder is fast and works well. However, you do need to be careful in feeding the sheets of paper straight it so it doesn't jam up.

I usually get a crosscut shredder; however, the price was good and I like that I can use it with any receptacle.

The most it will expand is 12.5 inches & that wasn't enough for any of my wastebins. It does however precisely fit the inner bucket of my SimplyHuman step wastecan: 11.5" wide x 9" deep x 22" tall which would be ideal but ordering a 2nd bucket would be expensive. It will also fit on a 3 gal rectangular wastebin with straight edges & no lip but that would require emptying extremely often. Because I got this on clearance for a song & didn't want to return it I found a way to use on an existing bin: I took a bamboo plant stake & cut it into 2 pieces then spanned them across the top of my bin as supports for the shredder's ends to rest on. Wooden dowels cut to size would probably work well too, or anything sturdy enough & the right circumference . So far it seems to be working. 3 stars because I think the features description "Extendable arm fits the shredder on different wastebaskets" is misleading unless you take it very literally (as in "Different" from any you may already have" LOL

The only thing is you need to make sure the dimension works for you trash can. Other than that, amazing price for the quality

This is a great Shredder for the price, it helps me a lot to destroy confidential papers quickly and credit cards also.

Best shredder I could ask for.Can be placed anywhere and puts away easily

Love it, its a very useful product works well, as long as you clean it out as your told and follow directions
