Its a standard shredded, great for simple jobs. It only shreds one way, there's no cross-shredding.

Works fine and fast on up to 4 paper sheets. But useless for credit cards - does not cut them

I read the online reviews, and I've used this type of shredder before, so I knew to expect occasional jams, and I knew how to fix them. What I did not expect was for half of the shredder to stop working the first time I used it. I know this is supposed to be a 6 sheet shredder, but generally that number is more hopeful than accurate, so I only put two sheets through at a time. The first time it jammed after about twenty sheets. I cleaned it out, got it to run for a few more sheets, and it jammed again. This time after cleaning the paper out of it, the left side of the shredder refused to feed anymore. There's no paper lodged anywhere, the shredding wheels are tuning, but whatever sensor tells it to feed had apparently broken. So I had to shred everything else on the right side of the shredder only. We rarely have anything to shred, so I wasn't concerned about using a shredder that was somewhat sub-par since at least it was cheap. I do, however expect the whole thing to keep working. This is going back to the store.

yeah yeah yeah, i know, i should follow the instructions and not put more than 5 sheets in at once, but I was a daring soul and put more...it jammed. Once jammed, its impossible to fix.

Going to see if I can return it. Keeps jamming up. Not happy with it

Plugged it in for the first time, only works in reverse. Won't shred.

The shredder will only fit on very small waste baskets (11-12 inches), so isn't functional for all but the rarest uses.

Had trouble getting the auto on to start the machine. Tried putting the papers to be shredded in this way and that, but most of the time it wouldn't start. Temperamental. I'm taking it back.
