The agent was very knowledgeable and efficient. Setup was done quickly and extremely neat. Polite professional work. The performance was done by two technicians - both extremely acquainted with the system installed. I could not be happier. They took the time to show basic instruction of the equipment. Thanks to the Geek Squad I am one happy camper.

This was my first experience using the Geek Squad for a security camera system that I had installed for my home. I was entirely satisfied with the job as it was performed, as the installation was thorough and professional from start to finish. Above and beyond all that, the functionality of the product was also explained to me.

Geek squad arrived with an army! They had a plan and executed it beautifully! They set up our router, synched it up with all the cameras. The wiring was professionally installed. They communicated well with us throughout the whole process, they were clean and very professional!

4 Cameras requested / scheduled to be installed were NOT installed.
Geek squad did not inform me that Geek Squad or the 3rd party contractor could not install floodlight cameras. Contractor informed me they could not install cameras and an electrician would need to install wiring outlets. Contractor's stated they were license to do the wiring but could not complete the procedure during a Best Buy scheduled appointment.
This appeared suspicious to me because I pay the Total Tech annual membership for $199 for the installation services. The installation was not completed and I paid additional for the extra cameras to be installed because only 4 cameras were covered.
Only 3/7 cameras were installed.
I am printing receipts and will update pending the outcome of if I am charged additional for rescheduling installation.

The Geek Squad technicians installed a 4-camera security system for me. All cameras were externally mounted with cable needing to be pulled through an attic and down into an electronics closet. They did a great job on the install and then configured the software for the unit as well. Overall high quality service with no hassles.

The agents did a good job and were courteous. I do believe they could have done a bit better with CAT cable management in the basement by hiding excess CAT cable above the drop ceiling.

When the technicians arrived, we walked the property and I showed them where the cameras were to be installed. I showed them the cameras and the hard drive and they got to work. They did an excellent job! The wires are all tucked away out of sight, they positioned perfectly and I feel such relief knowing they are there now. Thank you, Geek Squad!!

I can not get the proper assistance with the installation. I had an appointment set and no one showed. When I went to the nearest store I was told that my appointment was never completed and they didn't want to get involved that I should call customer service and have them schedule. When I called they said that the store should have helped me then they put me on hold and the call was disconnected I spent money buying extra cables which I don't think is right. The cameras should have come with the correct cables to do the installation. I then scheduled thru the automated service got a confirmation just to get a email a few minutes later telling me that I don't have an appointment. The frustration is starting to get real.
Biggest aggravation. Have outsider install cameras

They can’t install cameras. Should’ve never offers the device, said they couldn’t work over 10 feet. House was with in limits. Was in a time crunch or could’ve installed myself. Had to hire a contractor on short notice to get it done

Has taken over a month to get it installed and now geek squad is saying that the pre survey of the job they did the installer didn’t do a good job and didnt have any info from the survey so they may not be able to do the install. Pretty frustrating process.

Basically the installer wouldn't go up on a ladder even though it was the corner of my house which is one story. He said, "I don't know why they said we do camera installations, we just don't do them anymore. He was supposed to replace my older, hard wired cameras. I looked up a ADT contract installer and he did all 6 cameras in about 1 hour. I'm sure Geek Squad service is good for other installations but they are certainly not interested in outdoor security cameras even though their website sells them as of last December.

The person could not do install due to vaulted ceilings, so it was cancelled. I still got billed for it and now am fighting with Best Buy and Citibank (Best Buy credit card used) to cancel the charge of $164... will not use them again.

First 2 times the other company they sub contracted never called or showed up and the 3rd time I was denied because I live in a 2 story home and they didn’t want to run the wires

I have to give 5 stars to the actual men that came and did the actual install. The initial team that came to scope out my situation were friendly but tried to talk me into a different system. When I rescheduled the install the second team was great. And I'm glad I stuck with the system I originally purchsed.

Initial experience with first technician installing my cameras was not good, but the company manager, Tracy, made it right and sent another tech to complete the job. Please make it easier for callers to reach you--Best Buy and Geek Squad; the hold times are way too long.
