I purchased the Misfit Shine a year ago because it had a incredible battery life with its replaceable coin battery rather than the rechargeable trackers like Jawbone and Fitbit. I have loved the Shine but wanted to pickup a rubberized band for swimming. The store was out of bands but had the new"er" Flash tracker which came with a band. I knew the Misfit app made it easy to use multiple bands so I thought, "What the heck" and purchased the Flash for only $25. That was cheaper than what I expected to pay for the Shine's sport band. Unfortunately the Flash is not the Shine. I tried out the Flash tracker and after the first swim it began to fail. By the second swim it was done. The build quality was definitely lower than the Shine but Misfit never claimed they were the same. Maybe my unit was a fluke...maybe it is the norm. I can't say but if you are expecting the quality of the Shine...buy the Shine and love every moment of it. If you buy the Flash...get the extended warranty.

My first couple of weeks with my misfit, I was in love! Easy to comprehend app with accurate readings. That in addition to the fact I could sync it to my health benefits tracker (saves my money on my premium) all for a low price of $20 each? I was in love!!! Then after the three week mark, it would completely go blank for a few days, and now it want show me my progress or time from the tracker, only through the app. It's still syncing to my health benefits (which is the reason for the purchase) so I will stick with it for now. Oh and my husband has the second one, he had the same exact issues except he keeps getting a low battery warning even though it had only been about a month, and the battery should last for at least three.

My husband purchased the Misfit Flash for me as an anniversary present. After purchasing it, we discovered that my phone was not compatible. After fixing that issue, the Flash worked great; that was until I went swimming with it. The first time in the pool, the seal didn't hold and ruined the Flash. I returned it and got another one. It worked great, until I accidentally dropped it from hip height. I had it clipped on a pair of capri pants and hit it with my thumb when I slipped on my full length pants. It went back for another Flash, which also worked great. That was until it fell out of my pocket. It was actually dropped two times before it quit working. I'm now on my 4th one and thus far I have kept it on me the entire time. I really like the app and having it look like a watch is nice because I forget it is there sometimes. If it was more durable I'd give it five stars. I think for the price it costs, it is a great addition to my life. I can swim, bike, play tennis and exercise with it and it does a good job of keeping track of all my activities. If you purchase this item, be careful to not drop it on a hard surface, and get the Geek Squad protection on it to be safe.

I never did strenuous activity & never got it wet. The first one broke while I was walking into my room; I'd only worn it for 5 days. The 2nd one while I was sitting still; I'd worn it for 10 days. To add to the disappointment, I gave my friend one for Christmas, she loved it, and the band snapped after week -- how embarrassing! I'm going to try to exchange hers because she wants to try it again. The MisFit folks said they'd send her a replacement band also. I had my mom return hers before it could break. I'm not sure how the clip on holds up because I never tried it. But, rest assured that if you purchase this product with the intent of using the wristband, IT WILL SNAP/BREAK around the device casing within 2 weeks. Once MisFit delivers a quality band, I'd give the product 5 stars!

I bought this particular item because it's designed for swimmers. I had difficulty getting it to sync with my phone. After set up it works pretty well with the occasional crash. Haven't swam with it yet though because the cheap, brittle plastic wrist strap broke when I was inserting the misfit. I need to go back to the store for an exchange. In order to monitor my sleep I have to wear a garment I can clip the misfit on. I like to sleep au naturale so I'm really wanting that wrist band. The wrist band is also recommended for swimming so it doesn't stay fully submerged all the time. Not as waterproof as the packaging claims. All in all it's fun to monitor my sleep and activity levels. I have found it to be pretty accurate.

I bought this during Black Friday event for $25 and to be honest I'm impress how good it work keeping track of your daily activities and work outs. Is great that you can use it all the time, even take shower with it and measure all activity with out having to charge the battery like other devices. Sleep track is a nice option but need to be improved somehow because if you sleep during day doesn't track your sleep. also if you go to bed around 6:30 am after hang out or work all the night it doesn't track your sleep. Overall is really good and does the job.

I was so surprised when I read several articles about this tracker and immediately purchased and I am truly satisfied with this tracker and what it can do for the price. I like the idea of changing batteries because the trackers that have recharageable batteries don't work so well. This is a good first time tracker.

I love to see my points. However there is a known defect in the band for the flash and I have broke through 2 bands within 10 days. Its an inconvenience to have to return to the store. I am worried I could lose my tracker while working out and not realize it.

I've had the Misfit Flash for over a month now. I read all of the reviews first that said the band had broken quickly, but I figured for the sale price, I'd give it a go. I haven't regretted my purchase at all. This is a great beginner tracker. I use both the clip and the wristband and both have held up with no issues. I work with dogs, so this has been jumped on, knocked about, scratched at, and it's gotten wet, and I haven't had a problem with it. I took it swimming in the springs with me one day. The tracker and wristband were completely submerged, and it worked flawlessly! It does help to keep me motivated and to get me to move more. The app works great. You can customize the look, compete with friends, check your progress toward your goal, and check your sleep quality. The app also integrates with MyFitnessPal, so you can keep track of your calories and it also writes your exercise to the MFP log. I eventually do want to upgrade to a more advanced tracker, but I'm very happy with this one as a starter tracker. It has exceeded my expectations, and I enjoy using it.

this is the perfect starter tracker. It tracks sleep as well as steps. I was planning to return it but gave it to my daughter and she fell in love until it stopped working about two weeks into wearing it. She's planning to exchange it for another one

My misfit works great for what I needed.it was affordable and it also tracks my sleep and steps. I like that the main portion isn't a calorie counter but instead it's points to reach your goal.

I bought this for my grandmother bc I wanted to have her track her physical activity but didn't want to spend too much. This guy did the trick! Works well!! The app is pretty sweet! I would recommend a separate band bc the original one broke off.

The Misfit Flash was easy to set up. This is the first activity tracker I've used, so I can't compare it to others. It give me the information I want to know. I can track my activity throughout the day and see how well I'm actually sleeping. I got it on sale for $24.99, so I think it's a great deal.

When I first purchased the Flash I loved that it could be clipped on or worn like a watch. I downloaded the app and it was awesome to track steps towards goal, how many calories burned, and my sleep patterns. I wore it all the time except when in the shower. Three weeks after my purchase it stopped working. I thought it needed a new battery so I changed it; that did not help. I contacted Misfit via website and they initially asked me for pictures of the serial number, and proof of purchase. It has now been 3 weeks of going back and forth with them; instead of replacing the defective product, they want me to troubleshoot the device, and then send them a video of me troubleshooting using their instructions. I just want a replacement! It's a great product when it works, but customer service is poor. For that reason I would not recommend this product.

I love how simple the Flash is. I wear it all the time and like how it keeps me motivated to reach my goal and tracks my sleep as well. The sport band broke in less than two months of wear but Misfit customer service was helpful.

These are not only interesting to look at - they are great to keep track of sleep, exercise, and the time! I loved the one I got last year, so when I saw this two pack - I knew I wanted more. I gave this set to my daughters. The package contains two separately boxed up Misfits. Once you open the main box, each is packaged in a plastic wrapped box perfect for dividing up for gift giving. The batteries are old fashioned watch batteries but it is great because you don't have to worry about charging it. In fact, I get notices from Misfit to alert me that my battery is dying. They even sent me FREE battery replacements! When my first band broke - I contacted them - and they replaced it no problems or questions! Excellent customer service. This is an amazing product and the price makes it even better!

This is no match for other pricier fitness trackers but it is a more affordable option that still gets the job done. It can be used in a few different methods and is fairly simple to use once you have taken the time to set it up.
