I like that it is waterproof so it can be used swimming. It does not measure stairs or heart rate. Overall I do like this because it does measure steps and progress. It is more accurate if worn someplace besides the wrist.

I've had one of these for a while. My wife expressed interest. So, I purchased one for her, too. They are great for giving that extra push to achieve a goal and to raise that goal periodically. And, now that we each have one, it fosters a little healthy competition. Pros for the Shine: Waterproof to 50 meters. so i wear it everywhere including pool and shower. Battery does not need to be charged - mine needed to be replaced after about 4 months. It's worth the $3 to avoid the hassle of plugging in. Con: hard to impossible to see the LED indicators in bright light.

Accurately logs steps and activity as well as the quality of sleep. And it has a battery so it does not need to be recharged like a FitBit or Garmin. Syncs automatically when I open the app on my phone.

Misfit is well designed, compact and waterproof which are it's principal advantages. Feedback is a bit limited however. In the final analysis its a fancy step counter, as are it's competition.

The Shine, itself, is a wonderful fitness tracker that's both extremely easy on the eyes and very motivational. The best things for me, aside from it's modern look and minimal design, are the fact that you never have to charge it, plug it in to sync, or take it off for showers or swimming. For those reasons alone, it's an extremely functional product for me because it takes away the need for me to even remember I'm wearing it until I want to see if I've reached my goal for the day. The only negative regarding this product is that Android app. It's so far behind the iphone app, that it should be a crime. Will be awesome when the app catches up to the product. Then, there would be zero complaints, period.

Very easy to use. Accurate. Light weight. Love the versatility of swimming and cycling. I love the choice of accessories to go with it.

This is a great tracker for someone that doesn't want all the bells and whistles. Can track sleep, distance and steps. Can shower with it on. The aircraft metal used to make it feels great and is very durable. Only have to replace battery every few months. Misfit actually noticed on my app that the battery was low and sent me an e-mail to give me a new battery free of charge. I thought that was pretty cool!

I purchased my misfit band it was my first and I was a lot skeptical. It was not as expensive as the rest of the exercising bands but still more than you would spend on dinner and a movie for two! I am please to say I am getting my money worth! I spent hours in the rapid river at Aquatic and it still works! It's reliable and as soon as I have it I can always download my results so I am not dependent on my phone anymore.

I lost my FitBit so I went to replace it and looked at all the new activity trackers. It was overwhelming and during 2 visits to Best Buy, I was unable to get help from a salesperson but that's another story...The "never needs charging" caught my attention as the FitBit requires charging each week or so. The Misfit has a battery so I figured I really wouldn't ever need to take it off however, once I got it home I realized you have to lay it on your iPhone to sync it so. Anyway, I like it and use it to track my steps and sleep and the clock feature is pretty cool too.

Misfit shine is a great way to monitor your movement and sleep patterns. Hangs up at times when trying to sync. Pretty accurate but not perfect.

I like the long lasting battery to power the Shine rather than frequent charging as with other similar devices. The style is great and easy to wear day and night. It encourages me throughout the day to hit me goal , but the indicator dots are difficult to see in bright daylight. I also have noticed the miles tracked in the Shine do not match my Map my Fitness app.

I switched from a Fitbit to the Misfit Shine when my Fitbit stopped fully functioning. I get lots of positive comments on the looks of the Shine. It's sometimes hard to get the face to light up, and I typically have to double tap multiple times before it really lights up-- not a major issue, but sometimes obnoxious when I'm trying to check the time in a meeting. Step count seems pretty accurate, sleep tracking is good. It does not offer as many social networking features as the Misfit (e.g., able to comment on others' activity).

I loved my shine! here I am 17 days out and my shine has quit working. Which is just so perfect as you only have 14 days to return..rrrrr...when it worked-it was amazing.I swim and am totally new working out--this thing rocks-- that is until today when it quit an I took the back off--I see water when I take the battery out.So frustrated-80 down the drain.

If u want to track activity & sleep, but don't need heart rate data, this is great...especially for the money. Waterproof which is a plus for swimmers. Battery so no charging! Comfortable. Cons-can't track some activities like yoga, wt lifting, step class. I set it to the activity most like those to get some idea (ie tennis for step aerobics, swimming for yoga, etc). Overall like/love it. Haven't stopped wearing it since XMas.

I've owned a Fitbit and recently purchased the Misfit Shine. It's a good device for what I paid ($69). It monitors activity, allows you to set goals and monitors sleep. The clock feature is easy to read, and I like the aesthetics. The fact that it takes a standard battery and doesn't need recharging is a great feature. The app syncs with Apple's health tracking so it's perfect for tracking activity.

Having a long lasting battery makes this product perfect in my book. I love that I do not have to plug this in to charge. The fact that it tracks sleeping without pushing any buttons or tapping any thing is a plus in my book. I am delighted with this product and look forward to seeing if I can better my steps and sleep.

this is great for tracking your activity and calories. it works all the time and is pretty accurate in my opinion. now it is integrated with my fitness pal so it is even better then other devises. I used the fitbit flex before and like it a lot but this is even better. all you do is ware it and it tracks your actions and sleep. No need to set it to sleep mode or anything. I love it!!! great product and continues to get better. The App is also cool and simple, its just great overall. it also tells the time in a super cool way.

Hadn't planned on buying a new activity/sleep monitor. The Sales Associate was very 'persuasive'. He spent a pretty considerable amount of time setting it up, synching it to my smart phone, etc. I really thought I would like it. BUT, the band which holds the actual device in place is extremely FLIMSY! In less than a month, the actual device fell out of the band & is 'lost' somewhere in my house! When & if I find it & start to use it again, I might really like it.

I love the Shine. It is super easy to set up and even easier to use. It monitors my fitness goal and sleep patterns. When worn as a watch, tapping it will express the time using blinking lights - different! This is my second Shine- lost my first one somewhere! This one I wear all the time, either as a watch or with the magnet clasp. It works fine either way. Love it!
