Customers commend the Shine Activity Monitor's sleep tracking, long battery life, and waterproof design. Many also appreciate its ease of use and stylish, lightweight form. However, some users express concerns about the band's quality and occasional syncing difficulties. The display's visibility is also a point of contention for some customers.

i tried the fitbit and the charging issues gave me fits. Misfit uses a watch battery and i can leave it on ALL THE TIME. I love that. I also love that I dont have to "tell it" when I am going to sleep or starting to workout (if you dont want to). So far it has worked great for me. I highly recommend it. I have had it 2 months; by now, I had replaced the FITBIT 3 times!!!

The misfit was recommended to me by a friend that is a fitness instructor, it is simple to set up and use. I like the versatility of the misfit, it can be worn on the wrist, or attached to a shoe or other article of clothing. It goes everywhere from the gym to the shower to the pool. I love it. I have referred it to two others and they love it as much as I do.

This was a second shine for me. First one died but I'd had it for 18 months, had washed and dried it by mistake, dropped it many times and generally just used the hell out of it. I don't want to advertise that I wear a wearable so the discreet shape and ability to wear in lots of locatios is a win. And it's the only way to go with a small wearable if you swim.

The misfit shine is easy for a beginner to use with the exception of figuring out what time it is. I have yet to figure this out. I think maybe it is based on east coast time. It syncs to the computer easily although takes a few minutes to download ans sometime it takes several times to sync.

It's not as high tech as most fitness trackers so if you are looking for every detail this is not for you. It is for you if you want a tracker that looks great, tells time and is very easy to wear day and night. I have learned a lot just watching my hours of restful sleep. I recommend buying a sturdier band-I lost one but the company replaced.

They had me on waterproof. After sending several pedometers through the laundry, I was looking for something that could give me an idea of my activity level without failing when my memory failed me. I haven't done any stringent tests on how accurate it is, but it motivates me to keep my activity level up, it's comfortable to wear, it's easy to sync.

Received this as a birthday gift and I love how easy it is to use! Double tap for time and status is a little finicky and doesn't always work properly but overall a good easy product to use. Clasp holder could use some adjusting. The first time I wore it to do a serious walk, the misfit fell out multiple times and now has scratches on the face. I purchased the black leather watch strap and it fits much more securely.

Not as accurate or consistent as the Jawbone. To log cycling steps you must attach it to your ankle or shoe whereas jawbone picks up steps on your wrist. In order to log sleep, you must tap the dial 3 times. That being said, it is very sleek and comfortable to wear. Cool dial to tell time. I like not having to charge it. Also nice that it is waterproof. Sometimes you have to tap it pretty hard to get a reading.

I have been using my misfit shine for a few weeks now and it is just what I need to record all my activities, and even records my sleeping, and it does this so accurately, I am sometimes disappointed that I didn't sleep very restfully. It motivates me and keeps record of all exercise activity with my insurance company. Thank you.

Love the "shine"! I had first purchased the Misfit "flash" for its water resistant claims. It did not hold up in hot water or any water after its first failure. However it still works out of water. The "shine" is not only much more attractive and slim, but is holding up well in water exercise. Good product for the price.

Had to replace the first item; company very responsive to problems. BUT this tracker claims +2700 steps to the mile?? and isn't as versatile as the Fitbit One. It is water "proof" and certainly resistant and does look really nice and stylish, but scratches easily.

I love that I can wear this device every day and no one ever sees it. The magnet is strong and reliable. The only time it has ever come off accidentally is when I lean against something metal, like my son's bed frame. It's an attractive design, but easily hidden on a belt loop or bra strap. It's easy to check a couple of times a day, and I find myself motivated to walk a little further or add an extra walk here and there to get a few more lights illuminated. And it's so exciting when you light up the whole circle! You can program your second mode to monitor sleep, or to a more intense activity such as running or even swimming! It's waterproof, so you can wear it in the pool! It syncs effortlessly with your iPhone.

Great Fitness Tracker - Easy to Use

Purchased this for my younger son. He wanted a fitness tracker that he could use swimming as he swims competitively. He enjoys it a lot. It doesn't take long to realize what the various "dots" on the face indicate. Does he wish that it had a digital display? I guess so, but he also appreciates it's simplicity, sleekness, the ability to change bands and the app that accompanies it.

Awesome product. I had used the Fitbit in the past, but with it not being waterproof they kept burning out. The shine is waterproof and does a great job. Much more stylish and functional. Not having to charge the device is also a huge plus.

I bought one of these for my wife and decided to get one for myself. The software available can do amazing things that will keep you on track for activity and fitness. That having been said, I was disappointed in a couple of areas. I wore the unit on my wrist. If it was cold outside and I put my hands in my pockets, there was little activity registered. On the other hand, when I directed music, I earned a lot more credit than deserved. In the sleep mode it apparently measures blocks of inactivity. I have found that when my sleep is interrupted by activity, it does not combine the periods of less activity and only shows half of my sleep. While my wife continued to use hers, mine died and needed a new battery within the month. All in all, it does most of what I wanted it to do, so as soon as I get a new battery, I'll continue to use it.

My wife likes that the Misfit actually looks nice on her wrist. It is small and doesn't look like a calculator watch from the 80's! On the down side, the Android functionality is spotty at best. You may like this better for iOS? On my wife's HTC One M7 it doesn't always sync and the app seems buggy. Overall she likes it and continues to wear it so that is a win.

This works a lot better than the Jawbone Up 1 and 2 that I have had for over a year. The battery life is fantastic and it works with Bluetooth. I haven't had an error yet. The sleep tracking is as accurate as the UP, but the misfit has not "magically" stopped working for over two months so far!
