When it comes to simulating a sport, look no further than the MLB The Show series. No other video game captures the essence of professional sports quite like MLB The Show has done over the years. And this years effort continues the legacy of realism, minute details, and gorgeous visuals. More animations bring the game to life like never before! If you like baseball..no wait..if you like life, play MLB The Show.

MLB 15 comes out as the next in what will likely be yearly installments of Sonys MLB series games... They have updated rosters and tweaked game play and slightly improved graphics but if you own MLB 14 I dont see the point unless theres a price drop. If you never played a MLB the Show game this will be excellent and scratch that itch for a good baseball game.

MLB 14 was definitely rushed so that it could make it onto the PS4, but this time around a few smart changes were made that make MLB 15 actually worth buying. The game hasn't changed by leaps & bounds, but it has been improved. Thankfully, Franchise and Road to the Show game data transfers from over MLB 14 to this years game and will also move into future games. Finally we don't have to start over from scratch every time a new game is released. The most important change (in my opinion) is that the computer controlled outfielders are more true to life (meaning less accurate). Last year the computer outfielders caught the ball every gosh darn time. It really ruined the fun that they simply always knew exactly where the ball was going to land. This time around fielders take different paths to the ball based on their stats / skills (and sometimes they actually drop the ball!). My favorite feature of MLB 2015 is the radio show that plays after you simulate an entire day. What’s cool is that it plays while you navigate screens looking at stats, etc. You don't have to watch some dumb video that slows down what you actually want to be doing. And it really adds to the feeling of an entire season existing as it highlights information from other teams and games you were not a part of. For me it really amps up the tension knowing I am facing a team that is in the middle of a winning streak, or a pitcher who just threw a perfect game. I also appreciate that the game is better on the PS4 (as compared to the Vita & PS3). This is how it should be! The game shouldn't just have better graphics on the PS4, it should actually have more features - which it does (to a small degree). The PS4 holds more data content and so there is room for more player/team scenes that gives a sense of actual personality. Also, the PS4 has seasonal lighting. The game actually imports info from Google Earth so that shadows face the correct direction at each time of the year. I haven't noticed this yet, but it's a cool idea. It’s also cool to know that if I'm playing a night game, a bunch of extra innings can mean that I get to see the sun rise over the stadium. If you played MLB 14, you can rest assured that MLB15 is slightly better. It's a less frustrating game & you can bring your season with you. If MLB 15 is your first baseball game on the PlayStation, you can be fairly confident in your purchase knowing that as the game improves year after year, you will be able to bring your seasons with you. It's like paying for all of the new features without having to start over. Maybe someday we’ll only be charged for DLC season passes (that give us new players & updates without making us purchase a whole new game). Don't worry - I'm not holding my breath.

Such a great game. Love the graphics and controls. Batting can take a little time to get used to but can easily get a feel in the batting practice mode.

This game is great just like all of it's predecessors. Nothing is more realistic and fun. Road to the Show is a great game mode for everyone.

Stadium and player details are unbelievable to any true baseball fan! Hitting is a bit challenging, but more so because the camera doesn't zoom on hits (you see the whole field when you put the ball in play).

Despite it being the only option for baseball on PS4, the game is excellent. I've only scratched the surface playing exhibitions and Diamond Dynasty but it has plenty to keep a casual gamer and adult like myself entertained for more hours than I have available to play. Excellent graphics and the gameplay is very good. I like the pitching mechanics of choosing your pitch and the variance based on ability to throw said pitch. If you like baseball get this game.

Although MLB The Show 15 is unchallenged in the baseball sim category, even if it were it would still be on top. Road to the show is a blast, authentic sponsors such as Nike, Wilson, Rawlings etc. add to the realism. The game is extremely authentic from ballparks, to uniforms and player models. My only critique is the soundtrack is pretty lean, only about 10 songs that can get extremely repetitive and frankly, annoying. Other than that, 5 stars.

Better graphics, better pitching with the batting a little harder. Camera has a few issues.

It's been a while since I've played a baseball game (the last one I played was Ken Griffey Jr baseball on the N64), so I was curious to see the state of baseball game design after so many years. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. Sports games have come a long ways, and I find all the modes and attention to detail refreshing. The Welcome To The Big Leagues mode is particularly fun - as I get to create my own character and live out the fantasy of being drafted into the minors and working my way up to the big leagues.

Love playing this game. I love the game play and graphics. Very realistic.

MLB the show was one of the deciding factor when I chose to buy a PS4 back in November and I have not been disappointed since March when it came out. My only critique would be that I could see a baseball novice having trouble with some of the nuances. however the game does have a beginners mode and dynamic difficulty to ease a newbie in.

What a great game! The show has done it once again! the feeling you get while playing in HD with superior graphics and sound is just wonderful. The game play,sound,graphics even the mechanics of the game flow so well. It's a major step up from last year. If you love baseball games this is the one for you!

Love the new diamond dynasty feature. It's incredibly addictive and the fact that you can buy low on a player and watch his stats go up as he performs better in real life and have that translate to improved stats in game is just phenomenal thinking. Really makes me feel like I got value for my players.

I love The Show. This game is the reason I stay with Playstation over Xbox. The graphics are great and game modes are fantastic. You can develop a Road to the Show player, play a season, manage as GM, create a Diamond Dynasty with legendary and current players. Great for baseball enthusiasts.

MLB15 The Show continues to be THE best baseball game made right now. I previously used on PS3 system, but now with the PS4 version, it's even better, more clear, more smooth.... great job creating this game! Love the graphics!

The gameplay is great besides making too many errors sometimes. I think the face's of the players could be a little more realistic looking, Madison Bumgarner doesn't really look like himself for example. Other than that it is pretty realistic and actually offers a challenge

This game is the main reason why I purchased a ps4! The gameplay is easy to learn and the game modes are very addicting! This is a must have for any sports fan, especially baseball fans. The online servers could be better but this game will keep you entertained for months!

I have not played the baseball games in a few years, but I like this game. Graphics are good. Styles of games available are good, from within the game. Loading doesn't take long. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars to be honest, is I have nothing to compare this game to. There are no other baseball games out. The Show was always the best in the past.
