UNREAL...that MOHU would release this product

Why would you release a product of this nature without apps for iOS or Android. There was nothing to indicate this antenna would be released without iOS and Android apps and if there had been I would not have pre ordered this thing months ago. I have an Smart TV, Android phone, iPhone, iPad, Chromebook, Macbook, and a PC. But apparently these aren't enough for MOHU. So does anyone have any idea of what I can do with this antenna right now? Oh, buy yet ANOTHER device so I can use the device I bought on the premise of being able to use it with one of the many devices I already have. NO THANKS! So, I clearly can't tell you if the thing actually works, which others don't seem to be having much luck with. I can only comment on the physical device itself. It looks cheap. The antenna is speckled with paint and looks terrible. It should just be solid black or grey. There is a "chrome" accent piece on the base that is clearly cheap plastic. It feels cheap. The antenna has no weight to it and feels like if you dropped it the thing would shatter apart. The coax cable looks and feels cheap and flimsy. The power bridge looks like something an ametuer would build in their garage. I'm not so sure i'll be keeping this antenna.

Finally a way to get OTA into Streaming

I've been waiting on the Airwave for almost a year now. I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the early reviews, but I figured I'd try it myself. I'm glad that I did. It is obvious that it is very early in the product's life. The set up requires that you go to connected laptop or tablet. Mohu does say that the firmware updates will load straight from the apps after the 18th. This will be a welcome change. That said it wasn't at all hard to do the set up and download the updates. Once done I downloaded the Mohu app to my Fire TV box with no issue. I did do the channel scan a couple of times, re-positioning the antenna each time, until I received 32 channels. The real beauty of this device is that when you want to switch from watching Netflix to your local NBC channel, you no longer have to put down your streaming device 's remote, pick up your TV remote, find the input button, scroll down to the TV input, then "know" what channel NBC is before you get there, punch in say "5.1". Once you did that you still didn't have a program guide. The Airwave addresses all that. One remote, no input changes and a full two week program guide, with no subscription! I have not tried the Roku app yet. I do have Roku on my upstairs TV. I may wait until the app is on the Roku app store. I did notice that on some stations the signal would "hang up" occasionally. This was quickly fixed by switching to the alternative "Pixel Plus" setting that pops up when you first select the station you want to watch. This product along with a good streaming device like Fire TV or Roku, equals a perfect cord cutting solution!

    Disappointing to say the least

I've been a big fan of Mohu for years - I love their Leaf Antenna, but this was a major disappointment. I tried using it with an Amazon Fire TV Stick. First of all, it only found about 2/3 of the channels I get with my Leaf Antenna located in the same spot. Secondly, all of the channels freeze and stutter to the point of being unwatchable. I contacted Mohu Support and they said it's a problem with their app and they're trying to fix it, but they don't know when that will happen. I've lost confidence in their company. I can't believe the would release a product that doesn't work.

a Wifi antenna for all your devices

I felt like the reviews for this product were pretty unfair. People complaining about no paper instructions??? This is 2017 people it doesn't make any sense to have paper instructions when you can have digital ones with links that can be modified and updated. Literally the first thing you see when you open the box is the URL for setup. Anyway....this thing is pretty neat. You can set it up anywhere in your house and as long as you have it faced in the direction of your towers you can access broadcasts from mutliple tv's in your home. This is pretty sweet if you don't have cable and rely on a device like Fire stick or Roku for your entertainment. I definitely have some issues with the product but it's minor stuff that looks like Mohu is hammer out according to what they've been posting on their website. Pro's: 1) Easy set up. Seriously I don't understand some of the reviewers hang up on this its super simple, you just follow the guide at www.gomohu.com/setup 2) You can set it up anywhere in your house and connect to it via wifi so it doesn't need to be near the TV or anything. Currently I have mine stashed on a small chest of drawers among some picture frames. 3) No nickel and dime sales tactics trying to sell you additional services etc 4) Having a tv guide for broadcast is pretty sweet instead of having to google whats supposed to come on. Cons: 1) I have an older model Roku that did not like the Mohu. Always got a choppy feed on it but have had no issues on my Fire Stick so I assume it has more to do with it being an older Roku. 2) Should have a built in broadcast signal detector in setup that tells you the best direction to point the antenna. I used www.tvfool.com but otherwise you have to just trial and error. Also an indicator for signal strength would be nice. 3) I don't see the point in the "My Channels Tab". I get you can mark a couple of your favorites but it's not like you have a ton of channels to scan through anyway so it just seems redundant. 4) I like that I can access broadcasts on all my devices but I would also like a computer application so I can just watch the feed on one of my computer screens as well. Conclusion: If you're a cord cutter and want a way to have reliable access to broadcast TV on multiple devices in your home this is the only thing that does that. It definitely would benefit from some polish but all around this thing adds another tool to get skirt paying for cable etc. Being able to watch a reliable football game broadcast rather than searching for a sketchy stream is really nice. This thing just came out and it's from a small company that seems like they are making every effort to support and polish the product up some.

    Did not Work!

No instructions, but worse yet while it picked up 74 stations none of them actually worke. I tried 5 different locations in my condo with not a single channel. As a comparison the MoHU leaf locates and works for over 50 stations in my market. Airwave Software is also slow, still a year away from a reliable product. When I returned my unit, the Bestbuy already had 3 open boxes of the Airwave so I'm not the only one in Tampa.

Poor execution of a nice concept

Really wanted to like it. I've been eagerly awaiting since the CES announcement and ran to best buy on the release date. Tried 5 different spots in my house. Rescanned every time. It would take about 45 seconds for any channel to load. Picked up 17 channels compared to 31 for my $20 flat antenna. Channels would not stream smoothly. Lots of pixelation and sound issues. Ended up returning it. Oh well, nice concept but doesn't work in my home.

    MOHU AIRWAVE EXCELLENT

Well, at first thought would have to return it because it refused to connect to my WiFi. So used the ethernet cable and connected to update the firmware and then I got it to connect to the WiFi. Had a few more problems with searching for channels and then just like that it righted itself and connected to the internet and found 15 channels. Looks like I am good to go....I just left it on all night and in the morning it worked just fine. Now I have OAT in my LR and BR. Very pleased.

Great product, great price, goodbye cable monopoly

I have been really impressed with the Airwave from opening the box. Mohu has a great reputation in the cord cutter sphere and the Airwave solidifies their status. Here are my candid thoughts to this product -- I will say I read most all of the reviews and just don't get some of the feedback listed here. In all, this has been a top notch experience. And not to discredit anyone else, I think there may have been some technical limitations (user error) which may have hindered this products quality and ease of installation. And for the record, I'm not an IT/electrical engineering guy by any means. So here goes... Price: Basically one month's cost of cable. What's the big deal? You are at break even on day 31. No brainer. Installation: As instructed I went to the Mohu website and watched the video and read the instructions. The only minor issue I had was with my Roku in figuring out how to add the Mohu channel since it wasn't searchable. I realized it was clear in the instructions how to proceed but I breezed over it. So I attribute the only installation issue I had with the product to me speed reading and skipping over something that was clearly spelled out. Use/Quality: Great picture quality! Works like a charm for me. I will say that I had to move it once to find the best location in my house. My first placement of the Airwave was not in a good spot and not what Mohu recommends (it was in a cabinet downstairs). I moved the Airwave and has been great reception since. This is going on my Christmas list for a few family members. I'm going to set them free as well and know this is the best way to do that. An ideal stocking stuffer!

    Piece of junk

Great concept on paper but implemented very poorly. App keep crashing on Fire TV and most of the times app won't even find the airwave. Need to constantly reboot airwave to keep it working for 5-10 mins and then it needs a reboot again. Useless product and I returned it to the store today after trying for two weeks. Do not buy.

Just what I was looking for

Recently cut the cord and was looking for an antenna to help bridge the gap of my local channels. I have a Roku and Firestick and this antenna ties nicely into those for search options. Set up was easy and I was up in running in 15 minutes. Ended up getting almost 60 channels! Overall I am very happy and recommend this antenna.

    Good Idea, but needs work.

When I placed my order, it was with the idea that the antenna would have about a 50-mile radius. In actuality, it is 30 miles, maybe less. I thought if I placed the Airwave in a window on the third floor of my house, it would be sufficient. I get more channels with my amplified 50-mile antenna on the ground floor.

The iOS and Android apps aren't released yet! I setup the antennae but quickly realized I can't even try it yet. And there's no release date announced for either app. Don't buy it yet unless you have a Roku, AppleTV, or FireTV.

This was very easy to setup. It took a little while to find the best location in my house to get the most channels but once I did everything worked great. Streams smoothly, great picture and I get over 40 channels. Happy to get rid of the ugly flat antenna pinned to my wall.

Really cool product, was everything that I expected. Clear picture and works really well with my ROKU devices. Set up direction was clear, I opened the box and had it working in 10 minutes. Can't wait for them to come out with next versions because I will be a buyer!
