Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Beam Premium Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna's reception and picture quality, frequently praising its ease of installation and attractive design. Many appreciate the improved channel count it provides, although some experienced issues with signal strength and found the antenna to be larger than expected. A few customers felt the price was high relative to performance. Overall, the positive feedback on reception and picture quality outweighs the negative comments.

Works as advertised. Everything I read about its range as said in other reviews seems pretty accurate. I’m about 20 miles from a city and most of the channels come through, will have static every now and then. I actually have it standing up vertically on the floor, leaning against my tv stand. Felt a little clunky and difficult to find a place for it as first, but then again it is an antenna. Overall a great value, I would recommend trying this antenna out first to see if it works for you.

Easy to set up and good quality overall. About 40 local channels, but basically all of them are oldies, Qvc, etc.. I was hoping for more local news but perhaps it's our location.

This antenna reaches stations at least 40 miles away! I can watch local news and weather along with classic and broadcast stations clear and free. Great investment!

This is second one we purchased. The first was not strong enough. This model works great and was easy to assemble and install.

Cut the cable and purchased the powered Mohu - HDTV Antenna - couldn't be happier. On the west side of L.A. - over 50 miles from where most of the local broadcasters transmit their signal (atop Mt. Wilson) the Mohu works great! The antenna is mounted high on a south wall near a window in a 2nd story unit. Allow bad weather to cause intermittent signal loss. It's an antenna! Will definitely buy a second one for another location. Would have been cool to have been given a choice of either black and/or white coax. NP. All good.

After buying a less expensive antenna, I figured an amplified would perform much better. It did not make a difference. The one local channel I was hoping to watch was not viewable with either antenna. I receive most of the local channels and that may be as good as it gets. I'm skeptical of buying a more expensive one just to be disappointed. I did not place the antenna near a window or in the attic. I didn't want a long wire all over the living room.

I’m like 36 miles from the nearest tower. This product claimed 60 mile range so I’m expecting clean uninterrupted broadcasting signal. Overall I got the channels in my area but a few CBS and FOX every couple seconds would get choppy. That’s why I returned it. I expected clean playback but didn’t get that on all the channels. I got this 50% off on sale. I would not pay for full price.

I bought this for my basement and I get great reception and all my channels (68 total). If you want to ditch cable and stream like I do, this is your antenna. Don’t get the cheaper ones. I tried those and could get a max of 14-20 channels.

I purchased this for my dads TV he has out on his covered patio. He didnt want to pay for an extra cable box as TV is used sparingly and it was a deal of the day so the price was right. It came with 2 lengths of cable and a 90 degree angle and splice connector. The cable attaches to the antenna which is nice if you want to use your own cable - but it is a VERY tight fit. The antenna itself is a nice flat and very lite design. It picked up 40 channels with most being high def - of course this all depends on where you are at. It is amplified so you will need an AC plug. It did take a little maneuvering to find the best reception for the majority of channels - but that was expected. I wound up mounting it on the wall but found the template to be about 1/4 inch to wide to fit the actual slots for the screws in the back of the antenna. I took off one star for this as I was drilling into aluminum. It was VERY irritating to find it didnt fit and had to do another set of holes. You can just stand it up as it comes with a "leg" attachment that slips into a slot in the back. There are 2 slots but only 1 "leg" - which I found quizzical. But one leg worked OK. I recommend this as a reasonably priced and unobtrusive amplified OTA option.

Didn't work for me with stations 15-20 miles away

I live towards the center of Las Vegas and when I got this home to use I felt it would reach whatever signal it needed. That it was not overpowered or underpowered but just right. Turns out that a 15-30 mile range was too much for this and most channels I received were pixelating and cutting out. This antenna was used indoors. I have yet to replaced this antenna but when you see it's design it makes sense that it won't do much. The amplification helps it more than you know because my money is on if you opened this guy up you'd something like a traditional loop or ear antennas with hardly any metal or anything hefty. Seems if you want reliable signal a good sized outdoor antenna is still the way to go.

This was so easy to setup and works so well its almost too good to be true! I put it on the window ledge and it works great and found all the channels we wanted after cutting the cord a few months ago. I highly recommend this product.

This was my first indoor antenna when I cut the cord a few years ago. It worked great, but I needed one with a longer range. I do highly recommend this one over any other antenna, second only to the ClearStream Max. The only criticism is that the attaching the coax cable can be challenging when you want to use the leg to stand it up on a shelf or table. You'll have to buy an L-shaped connector in order to get the cable out of the way without bending it too close to where the cable attaches to the unit. Otherwise, it's not a problem if you're hanging it up.
