Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Beam Premium Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna's reception and picture quality, frequently praising its ease of installation and attractive design. Many appreciate the improved channel count it provides, although some experienced issues with signal strength and found the antenna to be larger than expected. A few customers felt the price was high relative to performance. Overall, the positive feedback on reception and picture quality outweighs the negative comments.

Cutting the cord from cable was challenging without good access to broadcast stations. This amplified antenna made the missing broadcast stations come in just fine!

We had to buy this antenna because Uverse decided not to carry NBC for football season. We now have NBC with the antenna, but NBC blocks the signal during games so you have to have service. Oh well, i tried. Antenna works as advertised though.

As a recent cord cutter, I have found the most difficult thing to deal with is receiving local channels. Most service providers, if they offer any, usually don’t offer the full slate. That’s where good old OTA TV comes in. The Mohu Beam Premium offers an OTA to help solve this issue. The Mohu comes in a simple box with the antenna and all accompanying components sitting in a clear plastic mold. Kudos to Mohu – there is plenty included. You have 2 coaxial cables – 10ft and 6ft. There is the apt named Power Injector: an inline, powered signal amplifier. Mounting hardware is also included, along with a kickstand. There is also a coaxial coupler thrown in for good measure. This allows you to accommodate nearly all short to medium range configurations of the antenna. Good looking out Mohu. The antenna itself is light, sleek and attractive. You can install this thing out in the open without the slap in your face ugliness that most indoor OTAs bring to the table. By the same token, the Beam Premium looks like it is just made for indoor use. The mounting options, along with the orientation seem to limit installation with regards to adjustment for reception. Which leads me to performance. The Beam Premium does a decent job providing good reception. I actually live in a valley, so reception is a definite challenge. The Beam does a decent job when positioned properly, but because of the design (flat, decorative, wide), it’s difficult to just mount or face the antenna in a visually pleasing way. In this case, the Beam Premium’s biggest asset serves as it’s largest flaw. With this in mind, maybe attic installation is the best choice for optimum placement and reception. Like I said earlier, I live in a valley, right next to a hill/mountain side. I get decent reception, but not great. Antenna performance did exceed other OTAs though. Do I recommend the Beam Premium? Yes, it is a good enough product to enjoy local channels, and it offers multiple installation options. Those in tough areas should be aware of orientation/installation challenges when used a visible indoor antenna.

Liked the antenna but unfortunately it only gave me about 5 channels. I live in the country and apparently too far from towers so I'll have to one that has a longer range. But the reception I got was a great, clear picture.

Happy with purchase. Very easy to set up and connect. Added about 25 OTA channels. Looks very stylish compared to other antennas, with an option to set up on stand or to wall (I used the stand). Also connects right to tv port so I did not have uo use another wall plug/ outlet to power it ( although it has the option to do that as well if you don't have the port to plug it in directly on the tv / older tv). Even comes with 2 cables to extend it farther from the tv if you need to for better signal reception. I would buy it again. (I watch for it to go on sale. Best Buy has some great sales. I got mine for almost 50% off!).

Connected directly to smart TV and antenna picked up 43 channels in my region immediately. Great for local channels in HD. Decent quality build and looks like sound bar.

I got this antenna to be able to watch on-air TV on my house. I'm renting, so not able to do much changes or holes, so I need some antenna with no installation required. I'm 30-40 miles from SLC repeater so BB person recommend one with amplifier. The one he recommended was not available, so I pick this one. So far no complains. I had to move it around the TV room in order to get the stronger signal possible (close to the window in my case) and I was able to get almost all the possible channels for my location (even Fox which signal was a bit weak). So far, no complains with my purchase at all.

I bought the antenna to use on a TV in my office. With all the metal in the building, it's an exceptionally difficult situation for any antenna but it is definitely better than the old rabbit ears I had before.

I needed an antenna for getting local channels for a more rural area I live in and this Mohu antenna does a great job of picking up a signal. The design is somewhat wonky, but it functions appropriately.

I replaced a Mobile leaf antenna with this model. It’s VERY sensitive as we moved it a few inches at a time to see what channels we could receive. We are getting a few more channels with this one.

The best reception for this antenna depends upon finding the best physical placement. Signal reception is no better than a less expensive model.

I needed an antenna that that would pick up all the over the air channels in Johnson City, TN to include NBC. This is the only one that would work. Thanks.

This antenna pulls in the most stations I’ve ever been able to receive from an OTA antenna. It’s a 50 mile range. Even gets PBS which I wasn’t able to get with other antennas.
