Customers are saying

Customers regard the Leaf 50 Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna with 60-Mile Range highly for its overall performance, providing clear and crisp channels, and its ability to receive a plethora of channels. The antenna's slim design and small size are also appreciated for seamlessly blending into any decor. However, some customers have noted that the actual range may be less than what is advertised.

Didn’t rate highly with us. This may be due to its location. It’s a wooded area.

Multiple good reviews both inside the store and out. Took it home and tried it, but got no signal. Turns out the White Tank mountains are between my home and the tv transmission towers. After checking online, I found out my location is unable to receive "over the air" channels. No reflection on the product, more a case of where my home is located.

Works, but a bit finicky to set up

Got this for my daughter, while setting up a grad school apartment in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She doesn't want to pay for TV service (she "cut the cord"!), so I got her this antenna. I haven't fiddled with an actual antenna for years. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that, given that it is still an analog device, it takes some patience in setting it up. Plugging into the TV is a snap; you just screw the coax from the antenna into the cable in. Configuring the TV was easy (but that's a function of the TV). Placement of the pad is where it gets interesting. It is helpful to get the over the air channel guide for your zip code (easy to find with an internet search engine). We put the pad on the wall above the TV, scanned for channels, and got about half of them. Whenever a train went by, channels pixelated and broke up. We moved around to the wall by the window, and got a few more channels, but still issues when a train went by, or some other external events occurred. Finally, we put the pad on the ceiling, and all the channels solidified. We still didn't get all of the channels listed for the zip code, but we got all of the local channels (that have local news), PBS, and quite a few more. Neither the train nor bad weather mess with the reception now. It is likely unreasonable to expect to get every channel listed on the web site, given that an antenna is an analog device, and signal strength varies by location and position within a building. So we're quite happy with the end result, especially for a relatively cheap inside-the-apartment antenna. Just be aware that you may have to work a bit to find the best spot for reception (I was reminded of a MASH episode with Hawkeye holding on to the end of a radio antenna and holding his arms and legs in ridiculous positions). Lastly, we got some cheap coax "staples" to anchor the antenna wire to the wall and ceiling to make it look a bit cleaner. But my daughter is happy to get local news, watch the Olympics, and pay nothing to a cable or dish service.

I have to say that for the price, it is amazing! It was easy to set up, and the directions were easy for me to understand. I ended up getting 18 channels, including my local news channels. Thank you for making this so affordable. Plus, when I bought it, they were having a sale. It was definitely a win win for me!
