My experience was not great I could only pic up 3 channels. 1 in multiple areas and 2 in one spot I really think it could be due to the way the house was built. I do wish it would have performed better. I just would have liked to receive local channels.

Bought the antenna and it was just an eye sore and inconvenient. I had to drape the antenna and cable cord across the living room to get next to a window so I could get reception. Otherwise I could only pick up 3/4 channels.

We bought this antenna because we felt the old antenna on the camper would not receive HD channels. Only got about 6 channels & those would go in and out. My husband felt it was do to the metal on the camper. Using only the cable and hooked it to our old antenna.

No matter what, I could not find a single anywhere in my house. I wanted to give up cable and tried this. Did not work out for me.

We live in town and were told we would get good reception. HUH, like that didn't happen. We returned it as we could only get like a couple stations with it on the wall. If we put it in the window, we got a couple more, but who wants that in the window. Poor idea!

I selected this antenna because it said it works perfect for me area (Huntley) however, i only got a couple of channels and not the 50 plus I'm suppose to get. I guess depends on your area.

I checked the reviews, I checked the reception calculator before buying it. However, when I used it, I hardly get any channels that are clear, much less "Hi Def". Really disappointed. I must be in a poor reception area (but my rabbit ears worked better !)

We tried several locations, including in a window nearest to the broadcast antennas. A couple channels came in until we moved around the room. It seems it was picking up the signals so tenuously that our movement interfered. We returned it to the store.

I really thought this product would solve my reception problems, as it turns out the antenna on my RV works better than it did...I fact I got zero reception...bummer!

Live in remote area in mountains, Best Buy salesman said it would help us get local channels from 60 miles away, in those conditions. This thing is as thin as paper, a little nothing thing! We hooked it up, put it in window, did not get squat!! It ALMOST got pixels on the PBS channel! Took it back and got our money back. Looking for an actual one that goes on roof or in attic, But ALtex says I will never get anything because of mountains. You may need more training for you sales guys.

Item was returned because it didn't work any better than the one I have. Unfortunately I live in an apartment with the nearest towers being 40 miles away. I'm sure it's a good one at the right place

We live in a hilly area with lots of trees. This antenna did not improve reception - we could only get 2 stations intermittently vs 3 stations with good reception with a coax cable. Return to the store for a refund - thank you Best Buy.

Better for city use. Need clear shot for signals. Unless you can put it in the attic the signals are blocked by trees and other obstructions.

We’ve use other antennas for a tv that is not connected to cable. None worked as well as this one! There’s great flexibility in location. It is perfect to use with a fire stick. We use it with Fire Stick Recast and it handles the entire house.

Our area is notoriously difficult in terms of reception but decided to give it a try. Didn’t work out as I suspected and had to return the antenna.

It was hard to setup, but no matter where I put them in the house it wasn’t getting nearly the number of channels I hoped to receive. Even when place in the attic reception was little better that rabbit ears.

We are truly disappointed in this. We thought we would be able to get at the very least the 8 channels we get on our livingroom tv with this for our new bedroom tv and only get 2.

Brand response from Mohu Customer Service
Posted .
Greetings BruceF! We apologize you have not had a great experience with our Mohu Leaf 50 Amplified HDTV Antenna. All locations and terrains are different. If you are in a more urban area, or at a closer distance to the broadcast towers, there is a good chance you do not need an amplifier. Over-amplification can occur within a shorter distance to the towers and could very well make your reception worse. If not, please give us a call at 877-825-5572 so we can perform a FREE signal analysis of your area to see what the problem could be. We are here 7 days a week to help! Thank you.
