Mounted it at the top of a window and it scanned in everything I expected it to. It has been as good as the outdoor mast mounted antenna I use on my other TV.

I am almost 40 miles from the transmitting towers, and there are houses between me and the towers. The only place I could mount the antenna was about waist high on the end of a bookcase, but at least it faced a window in the right direction. I was surprised when my TV scan picked up 84 digital channels. I got the same results when I took the included amplifier off the antenna. If you are looking to cut the cable, this antenna is a great first step!
