I grew up in a time when TVs had antennas. That was, in fact, the only way to get any TV channels. Back then they were referred to as 'rabbit ears' because they stuck out from the top of the television set like a pair of ears. You had to move them around depending on which channel you wanted to see. Only about 10 years ago, when Netflix started to gain popularity, I 'cut the cable' and started watching all my programs over the air and supplementing with streaming video programs. Unfortunately, television upgraded its technology and soon my old analog rabbit ears couldn't keep up with today's digital demands. Enter Mohu's Leaf Supreme Indoor Amplified HDTV Antenna.
UNBOXING AND SETUP
The box of the antenna is green and branded with Mohu materials. There is a decent amount of information about the product on it. In our particular case, the box was somewhat damaged because it was not shipped inside another carton. The shipping label was slapped right on the exterior of the Mohu box and sent to us. The box also has an image of the product on the exterior and it shows the logos of various local networks that can be picked up by the antenna (if they happen to be in range). When you open the box, you will discover a somewhat strong smell of plastic and other elements. The antenna is wrapped around the interior of the box and falls flat when you take it out. In addition to the antenna piece, there is a package that includes the amplifier, 2 x 10ft coaxial cables, USB power adapter, hook and loop tabs, and push pins.
The instructions are also included in this packet of accessories and they are pretty succinct. You attach the antenna to the amplifier and the amplifier to the TV. You could just connect the antenna directly to the TV, but that sort of defeats the purpose of acquiring this particular package. The amplifier must be powered to function -- hence why a USB plug is included. You can plug the USB power cable from the amplifier into a USB port on the TV if your TV has one. One thing you have to be sure to do with your TV is to set it to 'Antenna' or 'Air' for the tuner mode. Your TV will then scan for channels and then display channels within range.
USER EXPERIENCE
Since I'm a child of 'bunny ears' run televisions, the set up of this antenna was really no problem at all. I love that it has an amplifier with it to extend its range. We live in a rather close-knit area so the local networks are all within a 65-mile radius (most are within 10-20 miles). It was a breath of fresh air to see crisp, clear over-the-air reception that HDTV can provide. I had the antenna connected to a smaller HD television. It did have a coaxial input plug as well as a USB port so I could power the amplifier. Scanning for channels only took about 2 minutes and I had more than 15 channels that came in very clear and I believe I was picking up the most over-the-air channels for our area.
The instructions state that you may still have to move the antenna around if reception is 'sporadic'. I had it mounted on an interior wall of our home and it didn't seem that the receptions were wavering as I flipped through the stations. I was very pleased with how well the stations came in both with video and audio.
CONCLUSIONS
In the past year or so, we have been constantly battling with our cable/satellite provider over a stable bill. They keep tacking on 'hidden' fees and charges that we didn't authorize. This leads us to long, drawn-out conversations with retention reps that results in a lower bill for a certain period of time. This is a tiresome dance and one we don't want to continue. We have looked into options and while cutting the cable may not be the solution for us at this particular time, it could be in the near future. The Mohu Leaf Supreme Indoor Amplified HDTV Antenna is a great option for connecting to local network channels. The reception was clear and there was no delay in connecting. It's very easy to use and provides its service as advertised.

I was really excited to try this antenna because it’s from “the cord cutting company”. I was a bit disappointed when I found out that I was not getting all the local channels in my area. It claimed that I will get at least 70+ channels using the gomohu.com/bestbuy but instead I only get 33 channels which is about the same from my older HDTV antenna.
I read the instructions to make sure I was not missing anything from the easy setup but I did the install correctly after my second check.
A reason for my disappointment was because it has to be plugged in and I don’t get great results. If you are coming from a old school antenna you may love it but current cable customers may not yet be convince that this will cut the cord.
Pros:
Easy to setup
Clear hd channels
Cons:
Box claims it’s made in USA but the wires are labeled made in China
Requires power for the amplifier
Conclusion to my review is that mohu supreme antenna will save you money if you get rid of cable but give yourself time to get use to it. I will try different placements until I find the perfect position for the most channels. I say try it.

PRELIMINARY THOUGHTS:
MOHU SUPREME multi-directional antenna is a premium top-of-the-line indoor antenna. MOHU indoor antennas are the highest rated in the industry for a reason. They work consistently & install with no fuss. I connected mine to an LG HDTV, located on the ground floor of a brick house. It took longer to open the box & remove the components than to plug it in my TV. I simply pressed Auto Tune, and the TV found 17 digital channels, all crystal clear.
PROS:
1- Simply plug it in and press auto tune on your HDTV. You have digital TV channels!
2- Powerful 15dB gain.
3- Paper thin! Dimensions: 21.5” x 11.5” x 0.04”.
4- So easy to connect, no instructions are needed; uses a standard 75 ohm F Connector, the standard “TV” screw-on connector.
5- Up to a 65 mile reception.
6- I pick up 17 digital channels in a metropolitan area with a population of approximately 318,000.
7- Works equally well with HDTV & 4K TV.
8- 2) detachable 10’ white premium quality coaxial cables are included with a barrel connector to add them together for 20 feet distance from the TV. This is a great idea, because in my case, 10 feet is more than sufficient, so I did not need to hide the extra 10 feet of cable. Installation is much easier because the cable can be routed neatly after the antenna is placed.
9- In our area, 720P HDTV is broadcast, and it looks exactly the same as cable, with no jitter or interference.
10- No need to aim this antenna; because it is multi directional, you locate it where you prefer, and do not need to place it a certain direction to pul in a signal.
11- One side of the antenna is white; the other is black to blend with any décor.
12- Standard detachable USB 5 Volt power supply to power the amplified antenna. This further simplifies installation; plug it in after all wires are routed & hidden.
CONS:
None.
CONCLUSION:
MOHU offers the ticket to freedom from the cord. For the very modest cost of the MOHU Supreme, once you buy this antenna, there are no monthly charges to watch whatever channels you can receive - whenever you choose. It feels great to cut the cord! HOHU SUPREME multi-directional antenna earns my Highest rating!

The package includes an antenna that is white on one side and black on the other. The antenna has holes to pin it to a dry wall is is very effortless to put up. Also included are two long 10 ft coax cables, a joiner if you need to connect and get to a 20 ft cable, a usb plug and an amplifier.
The connections are pretty straight forward and it took me about 5-10 ins to get it going. In my area with a regular antenna we get 8 channels. With this Mohu supreme we now get 44. That is the best example of how good this antenna is and its signal amplification is.
If you are a cord cutter or not or just need to have a tv in guest room with local channels this is an ultimate solution. Very pleased with this Mohu Supreme.

Acquired this to use for OTA broadcasting, towers located 45 - 60 miles from house. It helps immensely to (a) be as high as possible in many cases, (b) close to or on a high window, (c) oriented to be 90 degrees from the broadcast towers. In my case, I had to move the antenna around a lot (fortunately have high windows), to optimize receptions for THE STATIONS I WANTED. In worst case, got only 21 stations, in best got over 70 stations. But many are foreign language (no interest) and so strived to find the location that would give maximum OTA channels that I wanted (ended up with over 60, many still foreign language. It is a trade off sometimes - not every desired channel is available at one location. Did not want to keep moving the antenna (requires reprogramming of the tuner each time). But when the channels come in they are in HD with good quality pictures and sound. When the signal is weak, nothing. Also be aware that transiting objects (planes, trucks, rain clouds) can momentarily stop the broadcast (less than 1 second to about 10 seconds), but very infrequent. Unit is light, easily moved, can be taped, glued to windows, or pinned to wall. Need to have the R5 cable length (separate purchase) to reach antenna location to the unit, though it comes with 2 - 10 foot sections. Also there is a plug in amplifier (15 - 18 dB gain) included, which may help for weaker signals. Overall, not too bad performance for the price, and one time purchase is less costly than cable for those only interested in a few core channels with lots of side band broadcasting.

Antenna reception in the Asheville NC mountains is never great. 2 of our "local" networks, NBC and CBS, come out of the upstate of SC and effectively ceased to exist when TV went digital. That being said, out of the box, this antenna worked as well as any I have tried, getting particularly good reception of the local Fox station, which is generally on the fringe of reception. Unfortunately after about 6 months, it stopped working for all but the closest most powerful local stations. I suspect the amplifier died. Cannot recommend a product that craps out after just afew months.

We move further north, so my 30 mile range antenna wasn’t cutting it anymore. Especially with channel 8 which is a VHF broadcast and notability harder to receive than UHF channels. I picked this up and was able to get most channels, but ABC was a little choppy, but watchable. Be sure to pick up a solid core copper coax cable (can be found cheaper elsewhere) with this and do not bend the cable past its tolerance (no 90° angles) and you’ll pick up everything worth picking up (and more). This plus the better cable gets me clear, smooth reception.

If you are ready to stop paying the high prices for cable/dish this may be the alternative you are looking for. Easy to use. Getting the free channels depends on how close you are to the broadcast towers so the greater the distance rating the better your chances of getting more Channels. I was about 60 miles from Tampa and was only able to pull in a few channels. But it was fine for my short visit where I had no cable service activated.

I bought this when I was thinking about cord cutting to get rid of cable. I live about 30-40 miles from the broadcast towers in my area. This antenna claimed to be able to pull in signals from this distance but in actual practice it was hit and miss. Sometimes it worked ok but usually the pixelation and dropouts were so bad it was unwatchable. This antenna didn't work any better than the DIY one I made with coathangers. I ended up returning it to Best Buy.

I was surprised at how many free channels were available. Learning to cut the cord on cable, and definitely this was a great way to do it. We got about 60 channels, some we were not aware of in the DFW area. Only reason we did not give it a 5, was you really need an outside wall to get the best reception and if your TV is not located near the wall you will have a long cord to the outside wall.

Easy installation & picked up 13 local channels....
For the price, def worth it.
Only down fall is the adhesive for sticking to a window isn't strong enough (keeps falling down) I would suggest put it where you get the strongest signal to scan for channels then mount it to the wall with the pins.

I bought this antennae hoping I could ditch the cable company and receive my local channels free over-the-air (OTA) plus hopefully a few others. Now prior to purchasing an antennae do to this you should do your research to see which signals you will receive. I did this and every website I visited said I would pick up my local news station about 20 miles away. I placed this antennae in every corner, window, or area combination I could think of but none allowed me to pick up my local news station. I was perplexed and I looked into it further to find out that my local news channel was a VHF (Very High Frequency) and the others were UHF (Ultra High Frequency) stations. My local news station is the closest station to me but I couldn't pick it up, however I was able to pickup another news station that was UHF. The UHF station was about maybe 5 - 10 miles further in the same direction as my local VHF station but this antennae couldn't pick up the VHF signal. This is a great antennae I'm sure but it didn't fit my needs.

This antenna exceeded my expectations as to the number of channels and the picture quality it produced. The HD versions of ABC, CBS, and NBC are excellent as are other channels (over 140 of them) that I now receive. The only drawback is that the standard channels 2-13 are not received and require a separate rabbit ears and UHF antenna. I will need to separately scan for those channels with the rabbit ears while the HDTV antenna is disconnected. However, the picture quality of the HD channels is as good as any cable carrier. This system is extremely cost effective if you don't need to have premium movie channels or other high cost channels. I'm completely satisfied with ending my cable service and substituting this antenna.

The antenna did pretty much what I thought it would, it gave me a clearer picture then what I was receiving before, but did not extend the number of channels received.
I did have to mount it on the uppermost part of a window to get the best reception, if I mounted it on a wall, or anywhere lower, I did not receive good results.
This is a good product if you read instructions and reviews and learn how to properly use this style of antenna.

Mohu Leaf Supreme antenna. I purchased this because of good reviews and had high hopes for this product. I have had this for almost a year now, being a flat antenna it is supposed to be a mount in a spot and forget it. I have to constantly move it around to get reception. I live 15 miles from the TV towers in Seattle so I am a lot closer than it's 65 mile range claim. My old TERK antenna I got for 25 bucks for the old digital converter box back in the day is just as good but stays in one spot and I may have to move the swivel once in a while. Not Impressed!

I bought this particular make & model because a friend has one and I was impressed with the reception. Took all of 5 minutes to set it up (above the curtains in the family room) and run a scan with 59 channels coming in clear as a bell. Of those, there are about 8 I probably won't watch but all my local and network channels are there and working great. I'm just sorry I didn't go this route years ago.

We bought this antenna after months of reception difficulties with our current one. The salesman ensured me it was the best (But it was by far the most expensive!).We ended up bringing it back after a week of very frustrating placements and replacements only to have worse reception than with our old one. We did learn alot about antenna placements and connections in the process, and are currently keeping on with our old one. I think this antenna may only be applicable for placements within some minimum undiscovered range. I do thank Best Buy for their quick and easy return policy.
