Monster Hunter Milla Jovovich is at again with Director/Husband Paul WS Anderson in a Video game to movie. Definitely not Resident evil. I never played Monster Hunter so not sure how much the movie plays to the game. The movie is not very good but it does hold your attention there is alot of action. The technical Merits for the movie are jaw dropping the Native 4K Picture is a stunner and seeing it in all its true 4K Glory is a reason for the upgrade to 4K. And if the beautiful native 4K presentation wasn't enough for you to alone to have this movie in your Collection then the Dolby Atmos Audio folds down to a TrueHD 7.1 if your not Atmos compatible like me. But This Track is everything your want from a movie like this its Loud, Boisterous, fierce, explosive, and immersive, fully detailed, and fully powerful. if you love LFE like i do then this soundtrack will take you down to Lovers Lane. Its that Fantastic!!!!!

I enjoyed the movie and loved the story it was building. It really brought me into the realm and left me wanting more at the end. While it had missing parts in the plot and moved a little too fast, I still liked it. It is too bad that with all good Fantasy flicks, it falls flat on profit so another one probably will not be made

Poor acting and a weak plot but the monsters are cool and worth the price of the movie! The soundtrack is awesome if you have the right equipment. Ron Pearlman doesn't really show up until halfway in the movie. They seemed to have rushed the plot and left too many gaps in the development of the characters...but the monsters are cool especially the dragon!

Silly and mindless action/fun flick. Is it for a die hard Monster Hunter fan? No. Fans are toxic to each other over what particular version of the game the play and this movie is just neckbeard bait to keyboard argue. I enjoyed the movie about as much as the Resident evil series and Tony Jaa is always a blast to watch.

Its ENTERTAINMENT ppl. The story line is a little out there yes but I purchased it for the awesome 4k visual and the Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Gr8 visual on 4k and color levels are so clean. You hear all the scurrying around with the Atmos throughout all your speakers. Almost looks fake because its such a crisp 4k.

Sound and picture were excellent,, movie based off of video game,, very pleasant surprise and acting was as good as can be expected for a monster movie,, again grandkids enjoyed movie because the probably had played on video game,, ending left open for many sequels to come

This was actually pretty good movie I don't follow the game so it was after watched the extras I found out it was made from a game. The acting was good and the special effects there was action but it needed more. This movie would have been nice in 3D in my opinion. Let's see what's the second part has to offer.

It's not easy to bring a video game to the bring screen but they did it with this film. The characters and monsters look like they came straight out of the video game and the story sets up the franchise for many more adventures to come, just like the game. It peaked my interest even more for the game and it's definitely paid homage to its legacy. I watched it in Theaters and Rented it before finally purchasing it. Definitely worth watching!

I know the video game series very well, and this movie is aesthetically pleasing. Although the story could have used a little bit of work, you can definitely tell they did their homework on how things would work in the Monster Hunter world in terms of weapons, monsters, people, and landscape. I highly recommend anyone to watch this movie, especially those that admire 4K on their TVs. You will be extremely entertained with this movie.

This is a good movie, if you know what you're getting into. I love the Resident Evil movies for their combination of action shots and lack of plot. This movie follows the same format. I'd recommend it if you want to relax and watch Mila Jovovich run around and fight a couple of monsters with iffy dialogue. I would not recommend it if you want a great plot or in-depth character development; not a classic, but solid mindless fun.

This movie is based on the Monster Hunter videogames. It is a really fun adventure movie. It has great special effects. This movie is starring Mila Jovovich. And also has Ron Pearlman in it too. I bought the 4k version. The HDR is really good in this movie. And the sound effects are pretty good too. If you are looking for a fun adventure movie or you like the Monster Hunter franchise give this one a try.

If your a true fan of the game; you’d appreciate the simple facts that they showed some amazing fearsome creatures from the video game straight to the big screen. Story is ok, the survival is intense… watch it with the lights off and sound up… but don’t expect much; enjoy the creature details and survival aspect. As a fan of the game; all I can say is… THEY GAVE US A MOVIE!!!

It pains me to to give this a 4, but the plot isn't as fleshed out as it could have been. That being said the lead female was a good actor, the visuals were amazing. The concept was great but could have been executed better.

Fun movie that’s goal seemed more about setting up a sequel as it did telling a fun story. The movie is good not great has excellent special effects and brings the world of monster hunter alive very well. Be a great choice for family movie night

Wasn't my favorite film but still enjoyed it. It was fully loaded with action and stunning picture. The sound guilty alone is enjoyable. If you haven't purchased I'd maybe wait for it to be $20.00 or less but still good buy for the collection.

I had no idea this was from a game, but it was quite a thrill to watch! The sound mix was good and had plenty LFE in the action sequences! One for any collection!

The dragons are so cool, that is the only highlight of the movie and you have to slog through the whole movie to get to that. It's a Paul Anderson movie so you know what your getting into, trying to make his wife look like the greatest creature on earth while ignoring every bit of lore that could make the movie better. The first 45 minutes of the movie could be cut out and everything would flow as if it was still in, ok the dragons aren't the only highlight of the movie because you also get to see caveman Ron Pearlman with huge hair.

What a great movie to watch over and over again. I've watched this movie several times even after the first screening and I get more impressed every time. It's a tale of the biggest dragons you can imagine versus the bravest dragon slayers you can find on a planet.

I feel it was a great movie. I know there are many that bashed this film, and honestly I thought it was great & glad they put Milla Jovovich in it as the main character. I haven't played the game, it looks nice, just not enough time to go play it, I really hope they make more films. I thought the story was good, great action scenes, well done film.

Movie is meh, but soundtrack is outstanding. Deep hard hitting bass with great surrounds. A definite must have to show off your sound system. Mainly your subs.
