Didn't know what to expect, but felt like taking a risk and picking up Monster Hunter. As someone who hasn't played the game, I didn't feel "lost" or that I needed to check out the game to get any answers. Some of the bonus features and showing how they incorporate the game into the movie were interesting to watch, as well.

How many times did hollywood made movies based on video games and were successful? This one barely missed the mark. The transfer and special effect are great, but the storyline is a little weak. Still enjoyable.

An entertaining movie that will give your home theater a workout. There are some plot holes but let's face it no one watches movies based on games for plot. Plenty of loud, entertaining action.

I got this movie expecting something similar to Ong-Bak, or Ninja Assassin...and it didn't disappoint. This movie is not a movie focused on plot or even a lengthy story. This movie is all about ACTION from second to second, and it totally delivers. There are a few holes in the plot, but it keeps you rivetted and wondering what is next.

It was a good movie but I thought it could have been a little bit better . Overall I enjoy the movie , I was glad that Best Buy had the movie , the movie did have quite a bit of action , it was worth buying .

Some people are complaining its not like the game. Soo don't watch it then its a movie a very good action movie. Has great monsters and super action , if you like monsters with rockets and machine guns then this is a fun movie for you. If you want to see something more like the game THEN PLAY THE GAME. COOL ACTION MOVIE WATCH IT

This movie was really enjoyable and I liked it a lot. If you like to watch monster movies I definitely recommend this. In my opinion there are scenes that the monster looks very real and does not look CGI. This movie made me see how special effects can make a monster look so real that no other movie that I have seen has done.

Was disappointed with the movie in general. A lot of dark scenes where I could not find the detail. it was hard to follow the movie with my OLED TV. The ending was anti-climactic and left you hanging for a sequel which was a bit disappointing because it didn’t tie up the movie well. For an ultra high DEF movie I was hoping for more spectacular scenes but so much for shot close up that the background is blurry anyways. The alien monsters where not creative at all, scene them all in other movies.

I loved this movie; I thought it was a fun ride. I'm not sure why all the bad press on it when it came out. Sure it was new to make it a multi-dimensional plot-line but it works! I have played the game and though I'm a huge player of it I felt it was well represented and the sequel would have done so more.

This movie had an interesting plot line, great special effects. It seems that Milla Jovovich is the female Sci-Fi Thriller Hero. Monster Hunter kept me interested through the entire movie.

If you are looking for a mindless film that enertains this one delivers. I didn't expect any type of thought provoking story line and I didn't get one. What I did get was a lot of action and terrific special effects.

I loved the movie. I thought all the effects, action, and sound were all very entertaining. Hope there will be a second movie to pick up where this left off.

I bought this for the sound and 4K visuals and it did not disappoint. The movie is better that what I heard as it was entertaining in my opinion.

It was a exciting and action pack movie. My family love it especially dolby sound. Another collection movie.

After streaming it I just knew I was going to buy it. Best Buy had a great price. An action movie with a little comedy. A good movie for my collection.

As a long-time Monster Hunter fan, I was really hoping this was going to do the series justice but it just doesn't. Is it a fun action flick? I mean, I guess. It has its moments. Is it cringey? Yep. Does it have some good CGI? Uh, in some scenes. Some almost seems like they got put off until the last second while others you can tell they really worked on. If you want to question story beats and wonder why Hollywood can't make a good video game movie. Check this out. If not maybe just buy one of the games.

Fun monster movie. If you have that itch for big monsters and action… scratch it here. It will be interesting to watch at least. Just don’t expect an Oscar performance

Very fun and entertaining. Story line and acting is not the best, but I did like the casting and the action sequences with Milla and Jaa

Pretty good movie lots of action throughout. Characters are good an easy movie to watch...would suggest watching!!!

What can I say? A movie with my favorite action star. Mila didn’t disappoint. This movie was completely different from her previous action films. There was plenty of firepower, explosions and plenty gore. Just my cup of tea. I’ll be watching this one a few times.
