I bought this game because I'm a RPG fan and this RPG title does not disappoint. I didn't play the first Monster Hunter and after playing this one I wish that I had played it. The training school portion of the game is very helpful in that it explains every weapon, how to use it and then lets you use the weapon on a mini training quest. Beware that if your the type of gamer that likes to just jump into a game and not read the manual this may not be the game for you. It's true that you can play without reading the actual manual, but it is crutial that you take the time to go to the bookcase in your home and read the material there. If you just jump into the actual quests without familarizing yourself with the area your going to and the monsters in that area, you have a great chance of failure. I have found this game to be very challenging and after 20+ hours I'm still failing on 1st, 2nd and 3rd level quests. The larger monsters in these quests are very difficult to kill and it takes alot of shoot and dodge work to finish them off. It's also fustrating to almost kill the monster only to have it run away and regain it's stamina. All in all though I would give this game a solid thumbs up and a good purchase for all RPG fans.

I'm a big time Monster Hunter fan, and this game has yet to dissapoint me. Theres more than three times as much content as there was in the first one, and you will always find something new to make. One thing i must point out is that you can play this game ONLINE (internet) with xLink Kai installed and a max wifi connecter. since this game is pretty challenging and being that there are many monsters you can only challenge online, wether it be with 1 or 3 other people playing with you, playing with other people is what really makes this game unique. In my opinion, it is one of the best RPG's on the market for the PSP and if ur a fan of that type of game, you will love this.

this game is pretty awesome, unless ofcourse you are into mmo's, then you may think its too limited, but for psp this is a must have game. you fight dragons, use pieces of them to make armor and weapons, and they all look pretty cool. its also up to four players, which makes it even better, most rpg's arent worth having if its only one player. this game also takes alot of skill to play as well, which is pretty cool.

OK, so first off if you have ever played monster hunter on PS2 and MHF on PSP, and actually liked it, then prepare to get blown away, this installment of MH is the best one yet, so many new features compared to the one on PS2, and PSP, if you want a good MH game then get this one.

This game is awsome!!!! more monsters and more weapons and armor than the first. A great buy for any PSP owner. If you dont own a PSP go out and buy one just for this game!!!!
