Very fun game. Already have 80 hours spent playing it. The basic gameplay loop is beat monster, make weapons and armor from said monster, fight stronger monsters, loot and make more equipment, repeat. The gradual increase in difficulty is nice and the game is beginner friendly (I'm a series veteran though). The magnamalo amiibo is cool and the free steelbook is nice.

I have been loving Monster Hunter Rise so far. I started with World, so the Singleplayer/Multiplayer split of the hunts is weird to me, but that's normal for the rest of the games. A wonderful place to start if you haven't played a Monster Hunter before and the Quality of Life improvements applied since World are great, like only having to mine ore deposits once to get all the resources, instead of 3 times, and the quickness of travel with the Palimute, since it doesn't rely on stamina to run. My only complaint isn't with the game, but with Best Buy. They sent it in a bubble mailer, instead of a box, so the Collector's Edition box was all smashed up. Since I didn't buy it for the box, just the Magnamalo Amiibo that comes along with it, I didn't feel like I needed to exchange. Just be wary if you care about box condition.

Its been amazing so far. Only have 45 hours played, but I can see that getting up 1,000 hours. All the new features make the game so much faster paced, as well as being a blast to use. At times you can't even tell you are playing on a switch, Capcom might be the first third party developer to make a game on par with what Nintendo can get their stuff to look like, or dare I say better. Worth buying new at full price. After the gamers club ended I stopped getting games at release. I wait the month or so for the price drop, I have enough in the backlog anyway. But this I had to jump right into. Also the obvious Switch benefit of going on a hunt anywhere you want. One downside would be Nintendo's lack of party chat the way other consoles do it.

I have played the older versions of Monster Hunter for the Wii, and 3DS, the new Monster Hunter World on the PS4, and now Rise on the Switch. Many of the quality of life changes that World introduced are back with the addition of the Wirebug that let's you grapple and move vertically. The new Paramus van be ridden around the level and you can use many itemswhile riding, such as sharpening stones, potions, or food to recover shamanic. The game looks great, there are tons of items to find or create, and the devs have delivered another fun game that will provide me with many hours of game play. If the idea of gearing up yo hobhunt down giant monsters sounds like a good time and you have the swtich, this game won't disappoint.

Amazing game even better than Monster Hunter World. You can basically be spider man. It would be a 10/10 if it wasn't for the fact that the game is kinda barebones at launch. The Free title updates that they do every month or so for FREE i can't stress that enough will add more monster to hunt, quests to go on, and more armor/weapons to craft that will truly turn this game into a masterpiece. If there was ever a time to dip your toes in Monster Hunter games this would be the game to pick up it's even more accessible than World and has more QOL in general. It's blows Monster Hunter world out of the water in everything but graphics.

Fun and challenging gameplay loop of fighting monsters and crafting new equipment. The amiibo looks fantastic as well. My only complaint was the box was very beat up and I couldn't return it for a new one because it was sold out.

Finally got around to playing the latest Monster Hunter installment. I wasn't a fan of World, but this improved on the good ideas that game had. Mobility is improved, most of the new monsters are fun and/or interesting, the maid make sense, and the online is very smooth. Very highly recommended to fans of the series. The extras in the special edition aren't great, but the game itself makes it worth it to me.

Worth the money! Amiibo: excellent detail work, good weight and size, useful in game Pin: gorgeous! Stickers: cute with a great art style to them. The Palamute is on my dock and it looks great Game: fun but don't expect the early game to be easy. Grind your buddies levels and material for gear. Some monsters are brutal. Great music and graphics. Learning curve for new players (i.e. me)

This is a combination of the old style of Monster Hunter as well as the new style with Monster Hunter World executed to perfection. The wirebug mechanic brings unparalleled mobility while staying true to the series roots. The game will be a little easy for veterans of the series, but given there are announced free updates the best is yet to come. Would recommend it without hesitation.

Great entry into the MH legacy. If you liked MHW then you won't be disappointed with Rise, takes a little bit of getting used to since button layout is different (Nintendo... Why you gotta be so different). Wire bugs are like clutch claw gone crazy. Overall it's awesome.

Monster Hunter is a great game in the series, even for newcomers. The Collector's edition features the game with a leaflet code for the Deluxe content as well as the large Magnamalo amiibo. The game is great even without the extras, but if you are lucky enough to find this edition it's well worth the pickup.

I have not stopped playing this since I got it. My friends are always having a blast hunting monsters to get specific parts and make our gear stronger. It feels like this game is easier than its predecessors but it brings the best QoL from previous games.

Well packed, everything that was supposed to come with it did. Gameplay feels like a combination between MH World, and previous installments in the series. The new features take a bit of getting use to but are enjoyable. The cute scenes and Japanese theme, and haikus are fun and enjoyable. Worth picking up. Would give a five star but have had some issues with online play.

Not much can be said other than it's Monster hunter. Currently speaking I'm sitting at around 80 hours gameplay and in the end game mode of acquiring more gear for different setups. Now having been a fan of the series almost 20 years now it is by far perhaps one of the best iterations of the series. The story to me is nice and done at your own pace through the quests, but the combat and mechanics are among the smoothest it has ever been. Price wise, if you take your time it's easy to get the money's worth. Yes it has a steep curve if you're not used to the mechanics of the game or the console. But the payoff will reward you by having those moments of victory. This generation is one of the best times to enter the series, so truly worth a look.

One of the best monster hunters in recent memory. A bit easier than previous releases, but with a whole host of QOL improvements from World and others. Very happy with the game and can't wait to play more!

Magnamalo is one of the nicer Amiibos I've owned. Statue level detail and the creature's one of the nices of the new ones. I enjoy this CE and the game could use some fleshing out but honestly? For a switch game? This is as good as a portable version of MH World you could ever ask for. Very accessible and fun as any other game. Areas are hefty, combat and switch skills are greeat! But, and I can't stress this enough; Dock it and get a wireless pro remote. Thank me later.
