For those that enjoy Monster Hunter and for those that enjoy general co-op action games, you will really like MHW. Having playing only a limited amount of previous MH games, I was able to quickly pick up this game and hit the ground running. For those diehard MH fans you may not enjoy this watered down version as much. However, for those that are new to the franchise or wish it was a bit easier to pick up, this game is for you. I've spent over 150 hours so far and have had some of the most fun I have had in years playing co-op with friends. Also, they keep adding free content which is something you don't see often anymore.

I loved this game. Lots to do. Crazy amount of weapons and armor to craft and upgrade. I got a lot of hours out of this game. It’s got some grinding but always fun.

This game has amazing graphics. It has so much game play and replay ability to it. You can follow the story which lets you unlock new areas and monsters to hunt, or you can stay in the area you were in doing hunts and investigations as much as you like before you move on. The weapon crafting in this game is so fun and requires some though and skill. You need to think about what kind of weapons and gear you will need for what kind of monsters and optimize them to get the best bonus possible. Even after you finish the main story there is so many investigations to keep you occupied for hours to come.

This game is incredible. The gigantic open worlds and the monsters are so much fun to hunt. And the game has free updates instead of add-on packs for everything.

Definitely fun taking down huge beasts with friends and getting addicted to trying to craft different weapons and armor by getting materials from taking down monsters.

WOW! Picked this up on the reccomendation of a friend and I was BLOWN AWAY! Fantastic semi open world game, the quests and upgrades are great, just a blast!

great game. very fun to play and long. i love that new monsters are being added. lots of campaigns and seems like it will never end.

I’ve enjoyed the game, but just know it requires a lot of your time to progress near the end of the game. Vets of the series already know this, but newcomers may not be aware. You’ll have to kill the same monsters repeatedly to upgrade your gear. And most sessions have 50 minute timers but don’t actually take that long to complete. That said, it’s still a lot of fun in that there’s a lot of weapon variety and the online sessions make things more interesting. It’s a real deep game in terms of the various systems, but fans of RPGs should enjoy it.

Never played previous monster Hunter games. I like the large open world feel multiple weapons styles. I am still a little unsure of the general JRPG feel

The game is extremely intuitive. Open world offers plenty to do and for those who love games that require a grind... this is the game for you.

Never played a monster hunter game before but it is very good. There is a pretty big learning curve which is hindering me but I enjoy the game

It's great to finally see Monster Hunter on hardware that doesn't limit the games performance. The Monster Hunter games on Nintendo consoles are also great fun but the detail present in both the creatures and world of this game is really astonishing. This title is a good entry point into the series as it removes some of the confusion from earlier titles and makes encounters more streamlined. Capcom has supported the game with numerous free updates and will hopefully continue to do so with whatever sequels are in the works.

Great game. Get ready to grind. There is a bit a of a learning curve. Once you get a hang of it you’ll have hours upon hours of game play

Almost never pay full price for video games but I would say that this game is awesome and absolutely loaded with content. It is very challenging

There’s never been a better time to jump into monster hunter if you’ve been on the fence. Chock full of quality-of-life improvements you no longer need to do additional research to play this 3rd person action adventure boss fight game. You kill monsters, make weapons and armor, rinse and repeat. The gameplay is so good though that the repetitive nature doesn’t matter because you can hunt with different types of weapons with up to 3 other people and just have a good time. Not for everyone though, I’d check some videos out first.

I never played a Monster Hunter game before getting Monster Hunter World and man I am glad I did. this game is so much fun. Hunting and tracking down the large monsters is so awesome. And when you get into a fight with one, 1 or 2 more may join in and you have to get out of the way for a few. It's like being in a Godzilla movie lol. If you have friends that play, and like RPG elements in games, then give this a try. But be ready to spend some time with it because you need to learn the basics before you decide if it's for you or not.

This is game is a lot of fun. The grind of trying to get the best gear is fun, and hunting the cool and different monsters is great.

Fantastic game, tons of content and a steep but fun learning curve. I've played 50+ hours and haven't even played half of the game yet.

Many hours of fun, it does take a significant time investment to figure out the systems and hunt the monsters.

Good length of main story with seamless multiplayer.Enough difficulty to create a challenge but not too much to make it frustrating.
