This game is great, especially with friends. The only problem is doing it is kind of a hassle. Menus can get confusing and if you're not into grinding to get armor or weapons, it can get repetitive. But the first time you fight a new monster is a great experience and challenge. They have also been updating the game with new monsters so that's great.

Incredible gameplay loop of hunting monsters to build better equipment to hunt more powerful monsters. I'm 200 hours in and still loving every second. Can be played solo but friends are welcome and 4 people can go hunting at once. Free content updates with new monsters and equipment are also coming in the future, so you'll be playing this well into the future. 10/10

I have played Monster Hunter 3 and 4 on the 3DS. I was thinking that World would just be a console port of those games. I was wrong. MHW is a deep game with so much content, with more to come from free DLC. All my free time goes into grinding and hunter in the beautiful environments in this game. This game is already a strong contender for game of the year.

This game can be very confusing at first, but give it some time and you will see that there is a TON of gameplay. This game basically boils down to only boss-fights, which are challenging and require learning to master encounters. You break parts, build better armor, and repeat to conquer bigger bad guys. Love it, and this is my first monster hunter game

This game is great! its the best in the series to get anyone familiar to what monster hunter is all about. Yes, there is some tutorials missing but you find how to hunt and little hints throughout the game. Nonetheless, this is the best monster hunter in the series and i have spend hours invested in its great mechanics, gameplay and story.

First time playing a game in the Monster Hunter series. From all my friends who played other games in the franchise the monsters stay true to character. I personally enjoy the multiplayer aspect and the constant boss battle feel. Rarely did I feel like I needed to go through small enemy after small enemy just for a lack luster boss fight.

Great open world battles and incredible monsters to fight!

This game is as difficult as you make it. You can jump in with friends and tackle missions together, or go solo and focus on honing your skills. I’m having a ton of fun with this game. Don’t miss it. My only critique is that the graphics are quite disappointing on next gen consoles, but the quality of the game makes up for this fact.

I must admit i was never a fan of the older Monster Hunter games, but this iteration feels more organic to me. The experience of hunting the monsters feels more engaging with the new mechanics. Furthermore, playing with group of friends makes it much more but going solo is will make this game much more difficult.

Best game of 2018 so far for me. I love this game. It's got great mechanics, a variety of weapons and armor and is much more user friendly than past games in the series. Multiplayer can be a little funky at first, but once you understand how it works it gets easier. Can't wait to see what all DLC gets released for it!

Never played any of the original MH games, so new to the franchise. Game is very addictive and it looks great. Monsters and the world are just great to look at. Can be a little bit of a grind to the same thing hunt monster, gather resources, and craft better armor/weapons. I recommend this game for anyone.

Finally a game that doesn't have micro transactions everywhere in it. No dlcs in the future will cost a dime, just like what monster hunter on 3ds had. Superb game, its very easy to play and takes time to get used to it but the quests help you learn how to do things rather than like the Dark souls series.

...Monster hunter yet. They’ve streamlined the game so that gathering isn’t annoying and crafting without doing research out of the game tolerable. This is basically boss fights the game with various weapons that all play completely differently and it’s an amazing online experience.

great game does not let one down fun to play and get involved with

This game has such hype so I bought it and although the graphics are amazing, the gameplay leaves much to be desired and the multiplayer is not set up well at all. Do not expect to play this game multiplayer unless you have friends to invite. The way the game is setup also makes it difficult to even play multiplayer, as you would all need to be on the same quest to get credit, otherwise people are just helping you through your story line quest. It does not auto-save as well which is strange. makes you manually save after crafting items, etc or all those changes are lost. This is a single-player CO-OP style game with bad CO-OP interface. Graphics 10-10, Gameplay 7-10. With the best buy 20% off new titles, this is an acceptable price.

Definitely a fun game. However, it gets to be pretty repetitive early on and often times a bit frustrating (constant knockback as every fight is against a creature 10 times your size). Yet it always feels rewarding when you bring these giants down.

Awesome graphics and a ton of gameplay hours await in this game. However, the uninitiated may feel very lost in the beginning, and that could be frustrating. I fall under this category. Watch gameplay videos to gauge whether this is your style of game.

Game is fun and Enjoyable. Lot of learning to do for fighting moves.
