In this day and age where electronics are not made to last, access to repair services is pretty much a necessity. There are a lot of extra repair warranties, etc that are not usually worth it, but this definitely is, and I highly recommend spending the money for it. See photo, this was for a repair to an existing laptop, as this covers not only the item you purchase, but with totaltech, you are able to get services for other existing products you own. It's definitely worth it!

I was so excited to get this laptop for college. The guy who assisted me with the purchase of this laptop said it was great and reliable, of course that’s his job. I am so mad I can’t return it. When I’m in my asynchronous class the screen is constantly glitching, it doesn’t always turn on right away, the fingerprint sensor does not work, it freezes all the time, and the keyboard is way too far back for my liking. I’ve only used this laptop for 4 MONTHS!!! To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement.

Already had to use it with a 3-month laptop purchase. Laptop was shipped out to be fixed and when it couldn't, I was given a brand-new laptop!

The employees here are always very well-versed in products they sell they can tell you anything and everything about the product you are buying the highs the Lowe’s and all that is concerned when inquiring about any item

$200 is a lot a year for this but look. I have for four playstation 5, 4 tvs, controllers, switch 2s multiple, air fryers, ice makers, LAPTOP! Can you imagine paying warranty for each one individually, NO. I save my self money! And i can buy open box items with protection with my membership!

ok service, wait time can be long and no instant serice, have to wait 2 days for return of products, you have to purchased parts at reqular price. would be nice if received a discount for parts. Mostly there is know one to talk to if you need to call the tech support, they give you a useless phone number but they know that you will not get a response, and have to drive up to store to talk with tech. customer should have a direct line to speak with tech if they have your product for inquiries.

The Geek squad has been wonderful to work with. I had a laptop problem that was thoroughly analyzed and the technicians were excellent at explaining to me the testing and meaning of results. i ended up getting a new laptop and they were helpful with picking out an appropriate one and then transferring all information to the new device. Over the past few years, I have relied on the geek squad to fix various issues that came up and they always understood what I meant and fixed it every time. A huge benefit is that they are available 24 hours/day.

I've been homeless for quite some time but now that I have my own apartment this past couple weeks I was sick and I brought my laptop in my bedroom and I accidentally spilled my soup on it and I went to Best buy and ask them for help and if I didn't have coverage I wouldn't know what to do I am very grateful that they've tried very hard to fix my laptop but now I'm being refunded to get another one I couldn't be more grateful and ready to learn the new one

I usually don’t but the protection program because I’ve always thought it was a huge scam and I’d never use it. Well I’ve completely changed my mind. I locked myself out of one of my I-phones and could not get in to anything. The geek squad has it fixed and unlocked within the hour at no additional cost to me.

My MacBook Pro M1 Max screen broke 18 months ago out of warranty. Cost of repair was the value of the laptop, so I turned my MacBook into a desktop machine and used a cheap Yoga model to get by. It performed admirably considering it was only a $450 laptop, but the build quality was beyond cheap. They also had weird problems like shutting off randomly, trackpad and keystroke errors. When this model came out, I tried it on display and was really blown away with how good it was for $1,600, even compared with computers that had better specs on paper. When it went on sale last month, I upgraded. Friends, let me tell you, it is as good on display as it is at home. It has little to no heat, even while programming or video editing for hours. It runs cooler than my MacBook Pro M1 Max and barely audible fan noise at the same load. I've never used a powerful laptop that runs this cool and quiet. The one downside is that the air pulls from the bottom. I work on a desktop a lot, so not much of an issue for me, but working on my lap gives me anxiety. Quite possibly my favorite part about it is the keyboard. They keys are very satisfying and comfortable to type on. The tactility and key travel is perfect. No discomfort after 8 hours of coding. It also has a numpad. A rare and welcome feature. 10/10, superior to MacBook's keyboard. Yoga screen is high quality and super bright at max settings. I can easily work outside in direct sunlight. In the summer I work outside a lot, so this is great. I also like that it has 3 USB-A ports. They were clearly thinking about people who use peripherals a lot, most of which still use USB-A like Logitech mice. Battery life is just okay. 7 hours runs it down to about 25% under a half load. Charging is extremely fast. 25% to 95% takes an hour while using it at the same time. MacBook by comparison easily clears 10 hours, but was slow to charge by comparison. This is the perfect computer for anyone who needs a mobile workstation for programming. It is a joy to work on and gives power users everything they want by eliminating useless features like 'Tablet Mode' and focusing on performance, cooling, and usability. Lenovo did a really good job engineering this. It's as close as I've ever gotten to a MacBook at almost half the price (When it's on sale).

Amazing device let down by heat. This is a stunning and premium looking and feeling device with exceptional build quality, stunning OLED screen, plenty of ports, great keyboard, amazing speakers, and good battery life. It also is one of the few clamshell laptops which supports touch AND pen. Fan noise is very low, silent in normal use and just a slight whisper when stressed. Minor complaints include the trackpad, which is not haptic and tends to activate the brightness controls. The OLED is a bit more grainy than i expected at this resolution and it isnt the brightest either. Still very good, but not best in class. The big downside is HEAT. The bottom becomes very hot under even medium loads, as does the top panel above the keyboard. Using this on a lap quickly becomes uncomfortable. Its also expensive, even on sale.

My family always gets Best Buy Total Protection to cover all of our electronic purchases. It gives us piece of mind and they do a great job of keeping our electronics Working!!

I really recomend it. Bestbuy keep thier word and help you out. I have been a member for the past 2 years and not disapointed with this.
