    I was initially turned off with the extreme gore, but behind the gore is a really good fighting game with a lot of depth.

    This has to be the best fighting game ever right? It's so complete and polished. I tend to find myself always putting this in my disc tray to play and I rarely take it out, it's just too good, you can play this game just like the original MK and still have fun. It breathes some new life into the mortal kombat series just in time for the new movie in 2020. Highly recommended if you are a mortal kombat fan, or just a fighting game fan in general.

    The story mode is a great continuation of the overall MK lore, bringing past and present iterations of your favorite characters together to fight for the survival of Earthrealm. Single player game will keep you entertained for hours with different fighting modes, including an endless variety of tower challenges. Controls are smooth and intuitive, and never feel too boggy. Online matches are typically balanced, and are not limited to just one-off battles. Being able to customize each character with earned enhancements is fun, and does not create an unfair power balance between characters. Super fans of the series would do well to purchase the Premium Edition, not the least of which gives you new access to additional characters such as Spawn and The Terminator.

    Mortal Kombat 11 is amazing and probably one of my favorite fighting game of this past generation. MK11 plays similarly to Mortal Kombat 10 but has many more features. The story was awesome and there are many characters in the base game that you can play with. Everything that Mortal Kombat is known for is in this game: the blood, the gore, and masked ninjas.
