one of the best movies ever made in earth's history.

After watching again and realizing its been 20 years since its release, still a four star rockem sockem pg-13 flick. Could have been way more violent but is lighthearted and fun for such a violent franchise. Dont bother watching the 1997 sequel as it will waste your money, time, and brain cells. The Annihilation movie should not been released that is how bad it really is. It takes camp to the next level, terrible transition/continuation between the movies..etc

This movie will never be included on the American Film Institutes' Best 100 movies. That being said, it may be the best movie based on a video game where players can rip the heads off their opponents and have the spines dangling from the severed head. Sadly for Mortal Kombat video game enthusiasts that kind of graphic violence is not seen on this onscreen adaption. But fans of the video game will still enjoy the fairly faithful film.

Mortal Kombat is exactly what the title says. You fight to save your life. The story line is great and keeps you entertained. I watched it as a kid and my nephew now watches it along with playing the video game. Filled with drama and action, it’s a must see for those who enjoy fighting movies.

Anyone who grew up playing these games in the arcade or at home can appreciate how much effort got put into trying to keep the tone of the characters and the setting faithful.

Without a doubt, the best video game adaptation to film ever made! It's funny, it's filled with a lot of action, some really cool techno music.

It was fun when it came out and is still fun today. Not a crazy 4K remaster or anything, but looks better than it's ever looked at home.
