The movies are cheesy but the TV episodes are good

The two movies are cinematic cheese at it's best complete with bad special effects and stale acting, however, the episodes from the TV series included on this set make up for the two movies and are the reason for this getting 3 stars instead of just 1.

3 movies in one. The first one is bad but so bad it’s good. The second is just bad and the third is forgettable.

Fun Movies Get Bare Bones Treatment Yet Again

as much as I like these movies, I really hate the bare bones treatment it has been given ever since it came out on DVD back in the late 90's. one would of thought that the fans would of gotten a proper special edition treatment at this point with tons of bonus content like the behind the scenes features and the deleted ending for the 2nd film (you know, the kind of bonus content that would add some real value to these movies, the kind of special features that would make the fans actually want to buy these films), but this is just lazy. seriously, another bare bones release Warner Brothers? at this point, if you still can't give these films the proper special edition Blu Ray treatment that they deserve, then just hand this franchise over to Shout Factory and they will take care of it for you. I'm sure they will know exactly what to do with it due to their outstanding track record. probably the reason why they were able to handle both the Bill & Ted series & The Exorcist III far better than the main studio ever could. so you might as well just hand them the keys to both films since they will be more than happy to give the fans what they want, not just release the same movies on a DVD over & over again with nothing new to offer. if you can give Batman & Robin special treatment, then there's absolutely no reason & zero excuses why you can't do the same for the 2 Mortal Kombat films. bottom line: just purchase the stand alone Blu Ray's instead, demand WB to release a proper special edition of these 2 films, and don't waste your hard earned money on yet another bare bones release such as this. even for MK fans, it's not worth it.
