This is Mortal Kombat on new generation of consoles. What's not to love? 60 fps on 1080 feels incredible. This game is also really tough on harder difficulties. Practice, practice, practice. The developers also added Factions which is a really cool concept. I won't spoil that for you. Check out the game and test your might. Mortal Kombat!!!

This is the best Mortal Kombat game ever!! It's fast and furious, and there plenty of characters to choose from the start!!! All your favorite characters are returning for this virtual slugfest. Packed lots of game modes, you will never get bored. And as a surprise, Jason Voorhees, the masked psychopath has signed on too as DLC.

This Mortal Kombat was the best so far. From its lively character selection to its fantastic online, action-packed thrill, this MC hits the market as, in my opinion, the best one yet.

Game is dope...I bought the limited edition, graphics are some of the best on next gen. Fighting is crazy and x-rays are brutal, the fatalities are some of the goriest in the MK franchise.
Love the multiplayer, I have about 600 matches online and it keeps getting better with new content released and daily towers.
If youre and MK fan you must own this game!

The product was delivered, as expected, harnessed tightly in the left hand side of the disk box, unscratched and easily unloosed from its holder. Within the box, one will find an insert promoting DLC promotional characters, which this author finds irksome and undesirable, considering the sum of money spent to play a game with a host of characters at the ready. The feeling is one of anguish, discovering that, already, you do not have access to a game in its entirety, and that others can pay to have a more premium experience.
That said, gameplay is swift, the characters are more or less all well designed, and dialogue is well-tailored for each character and scenario.
This game is plenty gory. And that's fun.

I was pleasantly surprised. Gameplay is smooth. Moves and fatalities and fairly easy to pull of especially with the Dpad. The large number of new characters control well. Great successor to MK9. Only downside is that it felt More evolutionary than revolutionary compared to MK 9, but Definitely the best fighting game on Xbox one. The three styles for each character with new special moves makes it seem like three times the number of characters. Definitely worth it.

The fatalities are bar none the best, the graphics are the best, and with this storyline and the addition of the game adding new characters to the roster over the internet takes M.K.-X to another level and separates itself from other fighting games and shows this game will not be dead and put up on our shelves or under the bed in a few days like other $60 games of today!

Obviously if you are reading this you are a fan of fighting games and most likely the Mortal Kombat series. I have played Mortal Kombat since the first one was made. Lets just say they have come a long way over the years. First off I own the game for the Xbox One. Graphics are amazing, as they should be on a current generation console. I will throw out a warning to parents if they are potentially considering buying for a young child. The Fatalities in this game are very graphic and brutal so please use discretion if shipping for a younger person. This game is very different from other MK's I've played. There is a whole lot more going on. There is factions to join, living towers, boss invasions, and of course the classic Krypt which is large and hold mysteries of its own opposed to the old linear unlocking in past games. The controls are typical of your classic MK game and the game is beautifully designed and levels are very interactive. You have not lived until you have hit someone with an old lady (sort of a spoiler but not really). I would recommend this game to anyone who is mature and likes fighting games.

The wait was long, but the wait was worth it. A new generation of fighters brings a fresh story and perspective to the franchise and it still feels as fresh as ever. The controls are tight, the fatalities are brutal, and the new kinds of characters adds a much needed boost to the franchise.

Fantastic gameplay and phenomenal cinematics. The stage interactions, new x ray moves, and incredibly gruesome fatalities make this a 5 star for sure. Some of the characters making their debut as playables are gonna be excellent in the franchise.

Though the storyline leaves something to be desired, the actual game is a Kombat game through and through.
Fatalities are as bloody as ever, brutalities are a quick way to embarrass your opponents, and their new system of juggling 3 different types makes it a pretty interesting change. Myself I still stick to Scorpion and Raiden as I always have, but the new characters are certainly interesting, and with Predator on the horizon for DLC you can imagine my excitement.
The Krypt is back in all it's former glory, as well as test your luck towers, test your might towers and the new faction system. I haven't personally gone into the multiplayer aspect of the game but it's a solid fighter with reasonably smart controls, and X-rays are still as fun as they were the first time you did them. Interestingly enough through the game you have button sequence cutscenes which keep you engaged in the somewhat lackluster story. Also 8 new characters to the mix makes things interesting even if 4 of them are offspring of previous characters.
Sadly, Smoke, Noob, Baracka, Syndra, and a few others are not back to participate. I understand that this may have been a time constraint, but why incorporate them in the story if we can't play them?

Just what I was hoping. The gameplay is like the classics, and it's exactly what I was hoping when I preordered it.
The 2D battlefield makes for a to-the-point fighting game, unlike FPS where you run around a 3D map for 60sec before you see anyone. In this game, the match is already over and you move on to the next one.
My favorite feature would be the combos you have to push in order to reveal a special move. Even better, they are different for every player... even the fatalities! This definitely keeps you wanting to try each character to reveal their signature moves.
"Rated M for Mature" - and it's blatantly obvious. The amount of gore in the fatalities can be a bit dramatic, but it is quite comical (for an adult).
This game is so entertaining, even my wife enjoys playing it!

Mortal Kombat X Is by far the best game this year excellent story mode graphics and fatalities are just sick now with the complaints I pre-order and purchase Mortal Kombat X and they told me downloadable content was supposed to come with the game some said it will be inside the game something I never receive the and some said it will come in your email I never received it and called several times never received it What happen when games used to be fun and easy to play put the game in and play now everything has to be downloaded or update from computers to cell phone used to be simple back in the days

This game brings back some characters from previous versions of the games and adds a few more. The fighting styles have been updated and expanded upon. So a player can be familiar with one character's fight mode but not another; this adds so much more possibilities to the matches. The story modes are interesting but not needed. There are also more "tower" modes to challenge your skills and unlock more parts of the game. Graphics are great and newer combos and X-ray moves are awesome, especially giving them and not receiving them. Not really a game for younger kids due to story mode language and themes but anyone over 12 should be okay with the fighting style complexity and those story mode issues (despite the M rating).
