Great game , amazing graphics , life like fatalities and brutalities , online play mode , wish their were more characters though for such a great game , but other than that the game is crazy awesome

I've been playing Mortal Kombat since I was a kid in the early 90s when Mortal Kombat II first released. Now, to be able to play the newest installment of Mortal Kombat X on the Xbox One is a dream come true! The series was reinvented well 4 years ago with Mortal Kombat 9... And MKX definitely raises the bar on every level with this next-gen iteration. It's an all-around fun game for fans of the series and newbies alike. The graphics, gameplay mechanics, sound, story, characters, and overall competitive experience are one-of-a-kind across several game modes. Pick this one up and enjoy it by yourself or with friends for sure!!!

The Mortal Kombat series took the fight category by storm back in 1992 (23 years ago). Once again this series has reach a "Flawless Victory" with it's overall story mode, and it's outrageous stomach-churning fatalities in any mode (Yummy anyone hungry). If your into fighting games with gore this game has it hands down for any system in my opinion. Awesome game, and job by all the developers/those involved.

My son and I love this game. The graphics are so nice! The addition of the new characters makes each challenge so much fun. The fatalities on this game are the best!

I've enjoyed the Mortal Kombat franchise for years and Mortal Kombat X did not disappoint. The story mode is a lot of fun and they've made the scenes engaging by adding quick time actions that you have to respond to with your controller. Nice to see old characters back in action along with some new ones. This game is pretty gory (as I'm sure you've heard and seen in the trailers) and it is very well done. The addition of factions was a nice plus and the living towers do not disappoint. I was a little worried about the direction WB would take with this game and they did a great job!

While I like the game, which stay true to the original. It is the same thing over and over, but so was the original. Love the graphics And the gore like previous mortal kombat games. A lot more fatalities than any other version.

This is one of the best games in my collection hands down. The graphics are great and the gameplay is even better. Its hard to find a game i can play with my family and friends since so many games are single player only nowadays. I play for hours with my brother and dad, even my sister and girlfriend love playing this game haha. The xrays and fatalities are a little over the top and unrealistic but it wouldnt be a mortal kombat game without it. This is an easy buy and if you have gamers club unlocked you get an extra 20% off!! Overall an AMAZING game.

As Jax (MK4) would say, this isnt a brutality, its a fatality. I mean that in the best possible way. This mortal kombat is beautifully designed and gory as well (for any true fan of the series). MKX has tons of great features for new and old fans such as the Krypt with updated features. Its DLC is great especially if you get it from Best Buy to drop the price another $5 down. The story is all over the place but we didnt get here for the story we kame here for the kombos and kombat. Well design brutalities and fatalities, fun game overall.

It's a spectacle of unique characters, awesome fight sequences, frightening new fatalities, and phenomenal graphics and gameplay. Love it!

This new Mortal Kombat improves on the last version, which itself was great, by improving the story mode, refining the Krypt for unlocks, and bringing the graphics to the next generation. The new characters are a great addition too, with Ferra/Tor being my favorite. The gameplay is refined as well by giving each character three different play styles to choose from. Each style offers new move sets and strategies. Highly recommended for fans and newcomers alike. If you're a fighting game fan this is a definite pickup.

Experience with purchasing with Best Buy delightful as usual. As far as the game is concerned, I would've given it 5 stars if not for all the excluded content that you have to pay for. It's very disappointing that 4 new characters will not be included with this game but were available almost at release. The game itself stays true to its roots but with a lot more flair; environmental objects in stages can now be used in combat, fatalities have been revamped, and the graphics are sleek. The game play definitely feels very responsive and there is quite a bit to do unless you want to shell out more money to save yourself the time. I would recommend this game if you're an MK fan and/or could appreciate some unadulterated creative gore.

This game plays so well. It feels different from previous Mortal Kombat games, but after a little getting used to, you'll enjoy trying to get all your favorite moves memorized from each of your favorite characters. It looks amazing, even though some scenes supposedly look sharper on the PS4. That's the only difference from the PS4, but you won't notice it unless you do a side to side comparison (or go on Youtube). I finished the story and have been playing friends online. I've been having a lot of fun!

Awesome graphics, decent story, online play is great. Great fatalities. Awesome fun, a timeless game. Never fails to entertain.

Best mortal kombat game to date, amazing graphics and very gorey. Definitely not a game for children, but great for parties.

MK X is a great fighting game with a good story. Some may not want a story in a fighting game but I found it refreshing. The game runs smooth and the fatalities are almost overshadowed by the entertaining X-Ray combo sequences. Tower challenges add variety to the game which could get old quickly if it weren't for the modifiers in the challenges. As far as fighting games go this one is top notch and very easy for novice gamers to pick up on if they are new to the genre.

MKX is absolutely a must-have for any MK fan! The next gen graphics and sound are awesome! The detailed character models, x-rays, and fatalities in stunning HD are something to behold! The addition of 4 extra characters(via DLC)including Jason Voorhees and Predator is incredible! As a huge MK fan and player since the original, I was and am, in awe of how high the bar was pushed for this installment and can't imagine how it could get any better....until the next game!

I've honestly never liked fighter type games but was intrigued when my wife actually showed interest in playing this, so I quickly jumped on the opportunity and bought it. The story line is hilariously cheesy but still fun, and the other game modes will have you rotting your brain for a good while. And ofcourse, the gore... Nothing much to say about that that isn't already known. So if you've ever enjoyed any fighter at all, I'm sure you'll like this one.

I've been an Ultimate Combat fan since I played the standups when I was a kid and X is without question EVERYTHING it has always supposed to have been! The graphics are simply over the top, the fatalities are the most brutal the franchise has ever seen (definitely NOT for kids or the faint of heart!), the playability for beginners keeps them in the game and there is a huge selection of characters to choose from.

First Sub Zero is my favorite character! Second I love the choice of fighting styles I can learn with him now. Same for every character really. That's like a 3 for 1 deal in my opinion. Quite a bit of content in this game to keep you happy. I have yet to explore it all. Great graphics, snappy controls and the occasional "bs moves" that we all love to hate about MK! Happy gaming!!! FINISH HIM/HER AND BUY THIS!!!!

the developers did a fantastic job following up to the last game in the series. the variations of styles for each character adds a new dynamic to the game and overall the controls have been tightened up. Plus plenty of things to do in single player as well. the krypt will keep me entertained for a long time. great replayability and that's not including the multiplayer aspect. highly recommended!!
