If you are a fan of Hi-def carnage, Then this game is for you. MKX is another great addition to the series and proves that the developers still have that evil touch need to make a great mortal kombat game. My original response was cooler but I forgot the world is to PC to handle a mans review.

I am loving this new MK, it reminds me of the old school MK with original character appearances that you can switch to. I wish they would add more of the classic characters to the game. My biggest complaint is that the DLC is kind of pricey. Other than that it is a decent fighting game.

I was hesitant to buy this, but am glad I did. The graphics are insane & the game itself is very deep. I love the hourly towers as well. So much stuff to unlock. If you're a fan of past MK's or fighting games in general, BUY THIS game. I believe it's even on sale while I'm typing this up

Is like reliving my teenage years, but a 100 times better. This game is awesome. My teenagers love it, and my husband and I can actually beat them sometimes. My son is 17 and my daughter is 20 and we all sit in the family room like a bunch of kids to play. Great fun and family time.

This game is extra ordinary and is the best fighting game ever made both for last gen and current gen. X-Rays are awesome, Brutality is amazing, Fatality is just way tooo goood! easy to learn, but difficult to master. This is an awesome game and is a must have for all Xbox/PS4 owners.

I have stayed away from the side scrolling next gen games because they feel like last gen. Mortal Kombat X has brought the side scrolling game back to life. Great amount of characters, levels and things to do. Of course this is MK so learning controls after being gone for so long was a bit daunting for me, even though I'm an old school gamer. Graphics are definitely next gen along with the sound.

I've had a really great time playing this one. It was on sale so I bought a copy for me and one for my friend and we've been having a blast with this. Graphics are beautiful and, if we can't manage to find time to play together, the single player mode is a lot of fun too!

I greatly enjoyed this game...excellent graphics, awesome fatalities, very well done story mode. It has a variety of settings so even those brand new to the fighting game genre won't be annihilated ever match vs. the AI. All around very well done game and a great purchase!

The main game itself is great with all the MK fun you'd expect. The DLC stuff is a bit out of control but I guess it's up to you if you want to buy it. One note on that as with all Best Buy preorder deals: the Goro code took forever to get emailed and that seems to be the norm with all the online preorder deals through them. I had to call in to get it. Anyway the game is nice and bloody.

Visually the game is stunning and it's campaign is one of the best in the genre but it is held back by its horrible netcode. The second you hop online you'll notice how choppy online play can really be even when playing with friends who live near you. That's if you can even join each other. The variations add a lot of depth and balance to the characters which is great compared to the spamfest and imbalanced mess that was MK9. Microtransactions are horrible in my opinion and they make their way into this game. You can pay for "easy fatalities" and 20$ to unlock everything in the krypt. There is a lot of content here but the lack of good netcode kinda ruins it all it is possible to have good stable matches but they are few and far between. I recommend making rooms stating your general location so you can find people near you and hopefully get green bar matches. That's in case you have made up in getting it if you can wait then please do yourself the favor and wait until these issues are ironed out, it'll only get cheaper as well. If you don't play online then you'll LOVE this game.

I'm not someone who does well with fighting games, but I have come to love the lore and characters of Mortal Kombat. Story mode is excellent as always, and in single battles all of the characters now have several unique dialogs with every other character (no more generic "Let's fight" and "I'm ready"). Fatalities have also been simplified for folks like me who struggle with the inputs.

Until MK10, I had only played MK1, MK2, and MK3. This game has many of the characters I remember, plus many new ones. Each character has 3 different playing styles to choose from, so the game has a lot of content to learn. The graphics are great. It is a very fun game.

Got this for my son for christmas. He's been enjoying it so I figured I'd try it out. It's a pretty decent game. Kinda different from what I normally play but it's definitely fun. Better with friends to get a little more strategic. Most fps fans should enjoy it.

While Injustice was fun it was missing the MK spirit. Here we get just that and more. Characters, game play and stages are are fun and appealing. Control is good with the standard controller but real fun is with a fighting stick. Online has been as smooth as Injustice, maybe even a bit better. Only gripe is garbage dlc. If you can wait, I'd say wait for the edition with everything

Playing Mortal Combat as a child was a blast and held some great memories of competitions me and my friends would have. Passing that along to my kids now and they are loving it! The ability to upgrade and buy players is an option I wish I had had when I was younger!

This game really has it all for the MK fan. Amazing visuals and extreme violence. Not for the feint of heart at all. I really enjoy the varied fighting styles each character has. It almost makes the roster 3 times as large. And those fatalities are pretty disgusting!

The game has all the fighting that dud love but avoid kids as its graphic. My only complaint is that the story mode is just story then basic fights like multiplayer matches instead of like the old games where you actually ran around and fought but great for parties.

very fun to play. story mode is actually a story. makes you play lots of characters to figure out who you like. when you beat story mode you unlock shinnock. playing against others is hit or miss online with connections and skill, but the game is still very fun.

Mortal Kombat has some VERY nice graphics, and brings in some unique mechanics that I personally enjoyed. It is by far the slowest kombat system, where combos feel more mechanical and not as spammy as previous titles. Their are quite a few characters to choose from, which I found exciting, and it brings in a nice diversity to the experience. There are a few characters that are numbingly overpowered and they somewhat ruin the online experience. But, as with any current online fighter, there's always those characters lurking around. Hopefully they nurf them, but for the time being, if you play online, expect to meet the ubers quickly. Still an enjoyable game, and the story tried for the most part. Nothing special, but something to do. I almost want to give this game 4 stars simply because of how much I enjoyed the dungeon dwelling mini-game, where you spend points you've earned rom playing the game, to unlock secrets, skins, and new fatalities. Only buy this game if you'e a fan of the Kombat games, or you'll ultimately throw it at the wall. gg
