Bought this to replace my 3 year old modem and made a big difference in my speed, especially since I replaced my Apple router with a newer one also. I would rather purchase one than pay a rental fee to Spectrum!

Bought this to replace previous modem as my provider raised its speeds. Now I am getting speeds of 600-750 on a consistent basis. Easy to set up and always have found the Motorola modems to hold up well.

This was a quick setup. Required Comcast to register it but that didn't take too long. Ended up getting a deal where my speed was increased for a lower rate. All-in-all, this has been a good experience.

I'm going to say that this modem is hands down the best. It's easy to set up. I noticed an immediate improvement in my speed. If you want to set up your home for the future this is the way to go.

Works great for Xfinity gigabit service! Had to replace an Aris Surfboard that would not support that speed. Happy it was in stock at my local Best Buy and I was back in business quickly!

I've been using this with my Xfinity Gigabit Internet service. Works great, able to actually get near gig speeds, no issues, easy to configure.

Bought this modem to replace a Motorola docsis 3.0 that I had for 7 years and was not supported by Xfinity anymore. Initially had issues but resolved them by putting modem on it's own cable from initial splitter, a new splitter, RG6 cable, and corrected 2 TV connections that were throwing errors. Also reset modem to defaults once and reconnected to Xfinity for new setup. Modem has been up now for 7 days without dropping internet and very few events in the log file. I have this unit teamed up with a Netgear R6700v2 router and the combo works great. Have the 150 mbps plan with xfinity and am getting 178 mbps on the downstream with ethernet cable or 5G wireless, only 96 mbps with 2.4G.

This modem is really a plug n play. I had concerns but it went fast and smooth. I didn't have to go through the password criteria-it used my existing. BTW, I have Xfinity-Comcast...

My DOCSIS 3.0 modem was reporting an increasing number of errors and at an increasing rate. Decided to upgrade to 3.1 and selected this item after some detailed research. Initial installation was a problem. Xfinity support solved it. The cause was the cable into my house from the curb. Not the MB8600. After 25 years of being buried, the outside cable was in bad shape. Xfinity kept working with me until the MB8600 was working regardless the signal issue. Xfinity with great patience got the modem running, arranged for the outside coax to be replaced, and a did clean job on burying the new cable under the grass. The MB8600 delivers great speed and several Xfinity people commented that this was a great choice. Funny thing, initially the Xfinity app declared this modem to be not recommended. That later changed. Three years prior, I had Verizon run fiber to the house. Everything Verizon did was a disaster from laying the cable to billing. Just saying. This modem works well.

I’m finally getting the gigabit speeds that I’m paying for! I had signed up for Xfinity/Comcast’s gigabit service as it was on a special one year promo price, it was only about $10.00 more per month. I originally bought a Arris SB8200 3.1 DOCIS modem but it would only give me about 300Mbps at best. After having Xfinity come out 3 times and not being able to fix the problem. I decided to try this model, and it worked. No issues now that I bought this model.

If you don't own your own modem, you are wasting your money. This will literally pay for itself in no time since you no longer have to pay a monthly device rental fee to your ISP. Just do it. Upgraded to this from a Docsis 3.0 modem so I could take full advantage of my ISP's speeds. Hookup was a breeze as was getting it activated through XFinity. Speeds are blazing fast (600Mbps service), and I haven't had to reboot it at all. Highly recommended.

Bought for my Comcast account - 700Mbps down & 18Mbps up. Huge speed bump and simple install. Took about 10 minutes on the phone with tech support.

Xfinity sent me an email saying that my old modem will no longer be supported with new speed increases. After researching approved modems on the Xfinity and Best Buy websites, I saw this modem on sale and quickly bought it. It was easy to install; however, after checking speeds, I was not getting the speeds that I was paying for. After further analysis, and plugging the computer directly into the modem, I found that the problem was with my router, not the new modem. After researching the router, I had to reset it and turn off QoS before it performed to correct speeds.

It allowed me to stop paying rent for a modem. It worked seamlessly with my router and delivers the ISP's advertised speed, all in a small package.

10yr old Motorola surf board finally started acting up so it was time for a new one. Very easy to set up and great speeds. Does not have a built in router though.

Very easy to install. Appears and feels to be well constructed. Provides blazing fast speeds (provided you have the plan to support it).
