Completely blew away the modem supplied by Xfinity. Setup was quick and I was up and running within 15 minutes after hooking up the Motorola to the wall outlet. What a big difference in performance. The app is somewhat sloppy so it's easier to setup this modem directly. All my devices, from phone to PC to TV reflected a big increase in speed. Wow!!! Great product!!!

Best modem ever! I originally purchase a Motorola arris back in 2012 and it lasted until we upgraded now 2023, our internet to a faster speed. I read and thought Netgear ($300+) would work. That thing suck and took forever to set up and being on the phone with xfinity for over an hour. (Found out there are 'bugs' in netgear software and sometimes will not work with xfinity service. Returned that thing and bought this Motorola modem. Fastest and easiest set up ever, no phone call to xfinity, took about 20 mins to set up. This Motorola modem will probably last me for 10+ or so years like my last one.

I recently upgraded my Internet services to 1 Gbps and this product worked well at this speed. The router portion allows coverage on two floors of my house and over 11 devices is use together. No problems. As to the install, the documentation leaves a lot of questions and no answers. The references to service providers was not helpful. I was force to write to the manufacturer and get additional written guide from them that worked. Other than the install instructions, I would give this device five stars.

You won't regret getting this modem/router combo. It's simple to set up and use. Works great and is fast. Powers all the devices in our home without any issues. We like it so much we bought another for our 2nd home.

For a router of this price range I was expecting more options for the firewall settings. Actually you can only turn off the FW or turn ON at high/medium/low level. That's it. The only way to see the firewall event log is by setting up a SysLog Server. The user manual is useless but at least the inline menu sometimes helps. All my Android device on wifi have good download speed but the response time is unbearable. it may take 30sec to open youtube but after that, the download speed is fast. I can't believe there is no way to backup the settings. On LAN, the download speed sometimes reaches 300Mbps. The connection with the internet provider is not super stable but that may be Comcast's issue. Generally speaking I'm not impressed by this product. I don't reccomend it. PS. Kudos to Best buy for their trade in campaign. i brought my old modem and got 15% discuount.

I never really considered owning a modem over leasing one from the cable provider until their tech suggested it. I will say, this unit has proven to make my internet much more stable than it had been previously. Registering it with the provider was as simple as plugging it in and going to their website. My speeds have been higher and since getting it I have had zero instances of unexplained outages in the house.

It's compatible with spectrum and gave me the internet speeds I was paying for. I don't like paying for rental fees either. The last Modem/router like this I had lasted me 6 years. If I can get half that with this one I can't Complain. Been a few weeks now and haven't had any issues. I will say also I live on a one floor apartment. Range is perfect for me since it cover my entire floor.

We had to update our router due to some changes made by our internet provider requiring that we use DOCSIS 3.1. The router was very easy to set up, and the speeds we've hit on the old router and this new one have remained consistent. So far, I've been happy with the purchase.

Bought this after Xfinity upgraded the speed to over half a gig in my area. Replaced the TP Link 16x4 dual band AC1200. Very good reliable modem/router for the price would recommend the extended warranty 4 years for $45 can't beat that. This modem/router has plenty of room for speed upgrades.

I usually buy a new modem like clockwork every year and a half. Product dies. Not this one. It’s 2025 and has lasted 3 years straight so far. Great product

So far so good it's been running non stop and we don't have wifi issues like we did with our outdated one. This works with my spectrum internet. We are very happy with the purchase. My only thing is it's in my room and it rings or buzzes like a high pitched sound. So when its quiet thats all you hear. It would be perfect if it was quiet.

Extremely simple, reliable modem/router combo! I bought this to replace my aging Motorola MG7540 (DOCSIS 3.0). The old modem/router was also very simple and reliable, having served me well for m, I don’t know… 6 years? But my ISP, Mediacom, was starting to have issues supporting the older DOCSIS protocol. Upon their suggestion to fix those issues, I got this guy. And so far, I’ve had no issues whatsoever. If history is any guide, this purchase will last me until the year ~2029.

Easy set-up. Fast. Reason for purchase was to alleviate streaming issues and update to a newer version of DOCSIS.

Xfinity set up quick but hard for Ring to find and connect.

Switched internet companies and had the option to buy our own modem/router. This has worked great so far.

I would have given this 5 stars if it had been a little less expensive. Setup was simple and coverage was good. Setup involved plugging in the cable wire and calling the cable company to give the MAC address. Didn't even need to wire it to the PC.

Who knew Motorola made such awesome wifi products? I had Google Home for a few years and it was confusing for me and tended to falsify the actual speeds of the internet. I’ve had this Motorola for a month now and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. You can download a Motorola app onto your phone to view and manage devices, and view speeds, etc. On the Apple App Store, the ratings aren’t great, but don’t let that stop you — the app works wonderfully.

I got this because of our landlords weird requirements for internet needed Docsis 3.0. So I went mid-range on the price since this was 4.0 but 3.0 compatible. I am not disappointed with this purchase it has yet to let me down. Also Motorola’s app is superb and lets you do anything in realms of customization all from your phone. We have 100GB plan and I’m able to game while my roommate streams their favorite shows with no issues.
