    Good Unit With Two Shortcomings

This is a typical Motorola product; well designed, well built and performs to expectation. This is no different. First take, it came well packaged. Set-up was relatively easy (but I do wish it was 802.11 wireless), everything worked straight out of the box. The handset itself feels well built and feels like you need not worry if it takes the occasional tumble off a chair or couch onto the hardwoods or tile. The screen is bright, design is simple and interface is intuitive. Phone call quality was great both on headset and on speaker. Alexa worked as expected and that set-up was relatively straight-forward as well. I do have to give it a 3-star rating due to two glaring (in my eyes) flaws. First, the caller ID is delayed several seconds compared to my other CID hones. It “ramps up” for a solid 2 to 4 seconds before it displays the CID whereas all other phones I currently have and have had In the past display the CID almost instantaneously. Is that a deal breaker? No, but it is annoying and worth noting. Second, I really wish it was able to be set up wirelessly instead of through the Ethernet cable. I don’t know about you, but even with my total available 10 ports of router, I am almost totally full. Again, deal breaker? No, but please note if you are full or nearing full on available physical ports, you may need to look at some choices or alternate solutions. End of day, it’s a good phone and works great in that capacity but it does have room for improvement. In all, I would recommend to a friend, BUT I would caveat the two shortcomings. **PLEASE NOTE** This product was provided to me at no cost in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. This review is exactly that: Honest and unbiased. The price played no role in the tone or honesty of this review.

Liking the phone a lot so far. I really like how Alexa is to use to make calls. Very clear and easy. Also like the solid feel of the phone. If you don't have an Echo device this is a good way to experiment with Alexa. Several steps to setting up the phone, so that part may be harder for some.

    Great...If You Have Landline

My parents are some of the only people I know who still have a landline. This Motorola Alexa phone is great for them. My Mom loves new technology, while my Dad is resistant to it. This phone was a great compromise. It gives my Mom some new technology to utilize, while my Dad doesn't feel overwhelmed using the phone as normal. They are both happy with the phone. *Note that you need a landline for full utilization.

This is must have for anyone who uses a cordless phone. It’s awesome to have Alexa handy to make my calls for me and to run my home stuff as well.
