Hi nand23, sorry to hear that you have to experience this issue with your device. Let me help. May we know what happened prior to this? Is the phone dropped? Is it happening during calls only? How about when watching a movie or listening to music? Try to run a diagnostic first thru Device Help > Fix > Hardware Test. See if there is an area that will fail. We could also reboot the phone in Safe Mode to see if this is due to a downloaded app on the phone. If this will not help, a factory reset may be necessary making sure that all important files are backed up. When all else fail, a replacement may be necessary thru this link: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/mcp/service/. There might be an out of warranty charge if the phone is beyond the warranty period. Please let us know if you encounter any difficulty by sending us an email to [email protected]. -Jhei MotorolaMobility

All-in, this is a great phone, especially because it is on sale even though it was just released a month ago. It outclasses the J3 Emerge on all fronts (cameras, RAM, processor, supported LTE bands). However, the photo on the BestBuy listing is WRONG--the phone does NOT have a fingerprint sensor. FYI, this is the XT1766 model of the phone, although some websites have this model number confused with the European e4 model.

You can tell this is a quality device with its performance, screen, ram, and durability. For something considered in the 'low end' of the spectrum this is by far the best quality product i have owned. You can tell motorola really wants to stand behind their products even if their not high end and i respect that. The one thing i recommend as a must-have for this is a glass screen protector because the screen on this gets scratched very easily. If it had a scratch proof screen it'd be perfect!

This is a nice phone if you don't care about (or can't afford) "premium" phones that do the same thing, they just cost more. It is fast and the screen looks great, and it is not bad outside in sunlight either. I was disappointed that Sprint's version doesn't have a fingerprint scanner like the picture shows above.

      Hi Mister,

Thanks for rating this is a nice phone. Sorry to disappoint you but the Moto E4 has fingerprint feature for the particular carriers only: Verizon, US Cellular and some unlock versions. Thanks for the five stars and great feedback. We appreciate it.

    Sprint is horrible - $299?

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Really? $299 full retail price for the 16GB version - AND it's locked to Sprint on top of that!? Have you ever tried having Sprint unlock your phone after it's already been paid for in full? It's next to impossible. The unlocked 16GB version is $179, and you can use any carrier you want.

      Hi DJ71,

Prices may depend on the seller/store where it is being sold. You may try to get the Moto E4 Plus unlocked if it happens you are planning to use the phone to different carriers in the US.
